      Hey Guys!

Just joined today. I live in Toronto but have been in Europe since August '10 for work. Since being here, I have quit American dip for Swedish snus, and would prefer not to switch back when I return home in May. I sent an email to Northerner about tax and custom charges for Canada, and the guy said I wouldn't have to pay tax for 4 cans or less. Is this correct?

        Its not "necessarily" correct.
In theory, you should pay duties on every tobacco item sent by mail, regardless of the amount.

However, the smaller the amount, the more hassle it becomes for customs to go through all the paperwork, for such a small amount of tobacco.
Also, word on the street (forum lol), is that sometimes small packages don't get screened that often.

So yes, you do have a greater change of receiving a tax free order if you order small amounts, but, at some point don't be surprised if you get a hefty tax receipt in your package.

So far out of 6 orders, of always 5 and less tins, only 2 have gotten taxed.

        Its a 50-50 chance.
But still a hell lot better than smoking.

            Update for Ontarians:

Walper tobacco: is great place to buy from. However, you must be in Ontario. Snus is fresh, downside is that is 10$ a tin and they dont have the greatest variety. They sell Dip as well. You will not have to pay anything extra when you receive your package from walper.
