i think i would be sporting a chubby right now if he was still working for them.... but on a more serious note.. over the last 3-4 years i have never ran into ANY inventory issues with any of the other companies i have ordered from.. maybe i just lucked out or something but it just seems that every time something like this happens it is with Northerner..

As much as I'm a big fan of the Northerners (esp BOOST) I doubt they'd be a B&M staple.

My advice? Buy a cheap freezer (or take over part of the family freezer). Stock up about 3-6 months worth. Then you simply won't care about this sort of thing. (and you'll end up saving money).
it is a an 8 roll order...

I watch the availability of Northerner Purified... Some bastards are apparently snusing my snus... It goes from 500+ to 0 almost overnight sometimes...

But... Short of them flying out here and actually kicking me in the nuts - there isn't a lot that I'm not going to more or less happily accept from them - they are, IMO, a required ally in my snus habit.

That was me I only Snus purified portions now and bought $200 worth 2 weeks ago.

What's your reasoning behind that? is it health reasons? Are you finding it's giving you all the nicotine you need? i've thought about getting on the smaller portions maybe even the purifed, but seem to need the sterks at the moment.

It actually makes me feel a bit guilty - since they indicate when they are out of stock on the web site.

                  Then they UPS 1 can...

I'd rather that they just not accept orders for out of stock snus. But that's probably just me.
I am pretty sure I have been charged a nominal fee from Northerner for a split shippment. I found an extra ~4.00 dollars charged to my CC from them. I questioned them on it and they told me they only charged the original amount, and that I would need to contact my bank. My online bank statement clearly showed two charges from them, but they didn't even look it up. I think that is pretty lame, but being only 4 dollars, it was not worth my time to follow up on (unless it happens again).

The irony is I believe they stopped this because people kept complaining about gettign half orders, so I think they started waiting until the whole order is ready to ship. Either that or they stopped shipping them seperately to save on shipping.

Sucks Connavar, but these companies, although big, pretty much operate like small businesses run out of a garage. Try calling the helpdesk but if history is any indicator you are likely going to have to wait the week. My bad bro

EDIT: Just read your post. Glad they are shipping part of it, I have never heard of them charging additional shipping for sending it in 2 packages, northerner has always been good about eating the cost on that one. They used to have an option at checkout where you could specify if you want them to ship you "what's in stock" first and then out of stock stuff later, but I don't know if they have that option any more.

Does it always occur or just once in a while? I placed my first order though them (no extra charge), this was the second order I placed with them that was split. If it does happen, I would think the person I contacted could have told me that... I wish it had been some kind of refund that they were not aware of instead... but how often does that inexplicably occur

Well no it wouldn't need to be a whole lot of extra space but it's likely that at least a few additional on-site employees would be needed to handle and coordinate what might be hundreds of orders in wait states that will be different for nearly every order. Three more employees would likely cost Northerner upwards of 100k or more a year and could not help but affect their bottom line to some degree. Also with potentially hundreds of orders languishing in availability limbo the potential for errors would probably be increased significantly. I'm not reflexively defending them just pointing out a few possible issues.

I empathize entirely with your internet tobacco plight. My last order from Northerner took a full month and a half to arrive due to the same spastic inventory (mis)management issue. It is infuriating. I am not going to try and give you any advice or explain it, because it is inexplicable, and I understand you are just venting. For the record though, I only order things listed as in-stock now.

They just fit the need for me. Taste great. Small. Just a great snus all the way around.
