This product is not available for NY customers...

Long time since I've been around, but I'm still snusin'... -Went to place an order with Getsnus; A couple of the Northerner purified portions... Citrus / Menthol... Wintergreen... and my new favorite (I confess - I like this one the most)... Licorice / Lemon.

At checkout I see a notice - about the Licorice / Lemon... "This product is not available for NY customers."

I've ordered it before, many times... and I'm thinking WTF!!! - WTF is this about!!!

... I didn't see any explanation posted, but I knew... It's the candy-like NAME. And after all, it's must be enticing to children. God forbid the 'children' get enticed into trying it. I'm in the great (nanny) state of NY, and I'm pissed. Very pissed.

I hope Northerner has the good sense to RENAME these products and keep them available.

Try a trial order and add 1 or more other licorice snus to see if you get the same results...

    Search Results for Licorice

You will then know if it applies to all licorice or just the Northerner brand.

    Keep us informed.

Here's the Licorice Link for Getsnus

Got so caught up in the injustice of it all that I didn't notice the mention of Getsnus!!

You should also send the Helpdesk the question concerning availability in NY.

Tried a little test at Getsnus for other brands similarly named...

Results : We have to remove following products from your order...
        # Offroad Licorice, White Portion - This product is not available for NY customers
        # Odens Licorice, Portion - This product is not available for NY customers

No, I'm really not a great fan of Licorice, but I see a pattern emerging. I wonder which other flavors are next.

This is ridiculous. What's next? All snus containing bergamot or smoke flavor?

You must know; Northerner & Getsnus are one and the same, and I did call them (Getsnus). They were very surprised to learn this from me. They checked-in with Home (Northerner), and called me back, informing me, and affirming that that this is (very) new policy. They couldn't tell me more. So what's next?

I never dreamed it could become this ridiculous.

              An alarming pattern it is...

NY is definitely a leader (as is MA) in depriving citizens of their freedoms
and other states jump on the bandwagons when it suits their purposes.

We're definitely going to hell in a handbasket (without fire-retardant protections).

Really? I'm not a bit surprised; especially from New York. We have our own little California over here on the right coast :^S

I wonder what would happen if you tried Skoal Cherry?
I remember a little while back, NY was trying to ban all "flavored" tobacco.

Seems like this, but for a while it was fought, so now did it win? I can't find anything new:

"Officials and health experts say flavored products are more appealing to young people"

                          and everyone else!

tobacco users are pretty much hated. They can't make it illegal but they can regulate it into obscurity.... Seems to be their plan these days.

They just want you(and the kids) smoking their $10 packs of smokes.

It's obvious New York needs more smokers (gotta pay for healthcare somehow right?)
