How Much Longer We'll Be Able To Get Snus From Sweden?

I had been ordering from Northerner, but because of prices switched to PremiumSnus. My order just arrived and I'm very happy. After hearing that UPS isn't supposed to deliver tobacco products I decided to call their international #800-782-7892 and find out for myself. I was told that they cannot ship tobacco unless it's under contract. Is this new or do they just let it slide? I'm worried, because I've been smoke free for over 2 months and really love my snus! I know many of you here in the states have been ordering for years and am hoping you will have the answers that will put my worries to rest

They can't ship tobacco through USPS anymore. UPS is fine as long as there is a contract. Hence why it costs more to get snus now.

All I have ever heard is USPS cant ship tobacco due to pact. I talked to the UPS driver and he said that most of his age verified packages are tobacco. Either way I am going to keep placing an order every month even though I don't need more snus just in case.

Good policy. I'd encourage everyone to do the same.

This has been UPS policy for YEARS! Nothing has changed recently or due to the latest development in Finland/Brussels/Sweden. UPS only ships tobacco from companies to private customers or from companies to companies. This, provided UPS has a contract with the company.

Thanks! I will continue placing an order each month just in case things change.

I think UPS delivers a lot of tobacco to tobacco outlets and different stores, they do a lot of business shipping. I would just place orders it won't hurt to keep a month or so stock.

I can tell you for a fact that the USPS has shipped tobacco for me recently...to me too. In fact, they're bringing it to IL for me right now. Of course it's from person to person and I guess a bit is allowed. The next step is to have it purchased and privately shipped if it gets to that. I'm sure UPS would rather have your money than be a stickler. Besides, in this case, what they don't know won't hurt them. I don't think that this mentality would fail (hasn't yet) and the only package that I ever got that was clearly damaged to the point where I know someone had to stuff the snus back in and tape it up came via USPS. I half blame the way they packaged it to begin with but whatever.

I want to order a year's worth...I think I'll have to get it in two orders this time.

God, I hope Swedish snus remains available for as long as I'm alive. (Which might just be a few years longer without smoking.)

Anyway, why is it that USPS can deliver snuff from overseas but not snus? And no signature is required for snuff.

Near as I can tell, they can't. If you're getting snuff that way, just keep your head down, and enjoy it. Laws get interpreted the way politicians want them to be interpreted. If there's several possible interpretations, you should assume the most restrictive. Unless you have the time and money to take it to our sham of a court system, you need to find your own way through the maze. Mine is looking like a grow your own method. Next year I'll be giving it a try, and hopefully I'll be able to overproduce. Tobacco used to e a primary currency. I think it'll make a fine currency in the future also ;^)

I love your DIY attitude. But yeah, both orders of snuff I've made so far from overseas arrived in my mailbox clearly labeled "snuff."

So is this USPS/UPS thing the reason we can't order anything from Europe anymore? I can't order Kaliber from Northerner because it's not from the US warehouse and that makes me sad.

There's a whole mess of douchebaggery affecting everyone's ability to buy snus. We can't get non-FDA snus, Euros can't get any snus from the EU, or Swedish Match snus from anywhere, and some of the states in the USA don't allow tobacco shipments at all :^S
