Never ordering from Northerner.com again.

ahh Canada customs, the unpredictable Nazis, just got a small package, 3 cans to be exact, and it passed with no hassle, had another package about a week ago for another member here to ship to him, 7 cans, napped for 80$ and some change, it is still there waiting, I really feel sorry for him and for all that good snus but 80$ for me is also steep for 7 cans.

The keyword here is as said before small packages no more than 3-4 and with 4 you might be pushing your luck. Order from PP and you will be happy. I discussed this with Fred from Northerner a while back and we came to the conclusion that customs know the company and logo, maybe who knows !!!!

I have good test right now that will test their customer service..

This morning I ordered a roll of boost and realized afterwards that I wanted a few more cans added to the order.. So, I used their ticket system to tell them the cans i wanted to order. I told them to bill the same card and gave rhem autorization to do so..Now, we know it has not shipped because it's the weekend so it will be a good test to see if they can handle a simple customer service request...

I will report back with a pass or fail...

I could be way off but I don't think it will work because they go through a third party to process their credit card payments. I have a feeling that they are able to do this but not easily.

I did the same thing a while back, the reply was I can substitute whatever I want before shipping, with anything of equal or lesser value and if lesser value no refund can be issued

I thought about that also but that could be rectified with a simple phone call to my number that they have on file or a link to pay the cost for the extra cans.. Either way, I think it represents a good test to see if their customer service can handle a simple add request to an order that has days before anything happens to it..

I am not bashing them... I just thought since I had a current request with them it was a good fit for this thread.. Hope that makes sense.. I have faith but from what most people on here are saying, It looks bleak...

Doh! That's a little weak. I'd love to see the process from Northerner's side. There's got to be a way around these little issues. Computers can work magic at the speed of light. It's just a matter of harnessing the power.

Hey Maher ! Whats PP ? I have looking arund for a solution to this problem. I used to order 14 cans at a time and never got customs charges for the longest time , and it was with swedish-snus.com (Northerner and Swedish-snus are the same company ). Now I get customs charges on orders with 2 cans in them for 20 bucks ! Its rediculous ! Also , I can order a free roll now , but im terrified of ordering it , as it might end up costing me 90 bucks !

never had a shipment problem.....yet. I have shipped pretty much all over the world. I do take some xtra steps to make sure customs doesn't mess with your package tho. So far its working. Let me know if you need snus.
