My Recent Experience with Snus Central

On 7/15/11 I placed an order with Snus Central. It has been a long while since I've ordered snus online (or used snus with any regularity). I had to educate myself on the PACT Act and such, as well as shop around discover the new things I'd missed in my absence from the snus scene.

It turned out that Snus Central's sale was on the items I wanted to purchase, and even with the high shipping, they were still about $20 less than the next few retailers.

This morning, I sent a message using their website, asking if I could upgrade the shipping to expedited shipping, and pay the difference. About 15 minutes later, I got a shipping confirmation and tracking number from them. I figured it was a lost cause.

Several hours went by, and I got an email from snus central. They basically said they upgraded my shipping to the expedited shipping, and not to worry about the cost -- it was on the house.

This was my first order from them, and with this really excellent service, I'm sure I'll be back. Just wanted to share the experience in case it helps someone else make a buying decision!

Nice! I'm really hoping my shipment comes soon... Sadly all the local shops have stopped selling General because they "didn't hardly sell none" -- probably due to poor product placement and/or marketing on their behalf. I've had to revert to American Camel snus, and it's terrible in comparison.

Just wanted to post an update to this thread.

Total time to receive this order was 7 days from the date of order, which included a weekend.

All of the snus was packaged very well (tightly wrapped in plastic), and although it's been over 100 degrees here for going on 3 months straight, all the snus was very moist and delicious. Several cans were wrapped up and frozen right away, and 3 were put into rotation in the fridge. I'm happy to have my Swedish snus back!

All of the cans were intact and there were absolutely zero problems.

I'm really liking the Nick & Johnny Crushed Ice and the Blue Ocean. The Blue Ocean gets a bit bitter toward the end of the portion, but up front it's great while it lasts. I can see where the name came from. It's nice and salty

Ordered a couple rolls yesterday. Noticed this morning it hadn't shipped yet. Knowing they usually ship out lightning fast, I proceeded to check out Buysnus since Snuscentral has no stock indication. Sure enough, my N & J was out of stock. I emailed them them asking when it would ship, they said N & J manufacturer had some delivery issues but they expected in stock tomorrow, then asked me if I would rather wait or choose a different brand. Being the impatient person I am, I asked that they replace it with another roll of GESP. Not five minutes later, they responded they made the change and threw in a free can for my "inconvenience", and that I will receive shipping confirmation shortly. Excellent customer service as always.

While I'm pleased with the positive review, I too ordered some N&J (SW)... I'm wondering if I should amend that. What kind were you after?

My snus is scheduled to arrive by noon tomorrow. Shipped Monday, delivery by noon Wednesday, from Sweden. Hell it took longer to get my ipod case from amazon, and that came from my own state!

Tell me about it... It DISGUSTS me that it takes 6 days for a package to come from Conn to NY, but a package from Sweden can get here before I have to shave again.

I placed my latest Northerner order from the USA warehouse last Wednesday (all items in-stock). It shipped 5 days later, this past Monday. Won't arrive until next Monday.

That's one of the reasons I hate Northerner. In fairness though, I just placed an order via the Snuson shop ("powered" by Northerner) with free shipping on Monday night...UPS tracking says it'll arrive Thursday. Not too bad, really...

I have only made one order. Very pleased with snuscentral. Shipping is tough unless you make a decent size order, but I have done two price comparisons b/t them and other companies and they have always come out ahead.

Wish the forum got more traffic, but as a store they're all good.

I've always been pleased with snuscentral. They carry all but the Northerner brand that I occasionally use. I only had to contact their customer service once when a promotion wasn't working on one item. It was a prompt and friendly resolution. The snus, until this week, has always only taken 2 to 3 days to get to my door.

Has anyone placed an order this week and gotten it, or is it just me that customs and/or UPS is deciding to screw with?


Update: It seems my problem with the last order is that I was lucky enough to be selected for a personal search by the FDA. Funny thing is this was the first order I actually paid anything for shipping in over a year. It appears to be sitting in St. Louis now, but I have to wait until Monday (a week later) to get it. This does not change my opinion about snuscentral since they have no control over our FDA.
