    Which online store has the best prices?

    Hello everybody!

    This is the first time I'm using this forum and I'm happy to see so many fellow snus users. I have been looking around on the Internet after the web shop with the best prices and have found this one so far:

    www.snusomatic.com

    Have any of you found a cheaper store, please let me know! I'm travelling a lot so I'm both in Europe and USA and since prices differ on all web shops there might be one shop that is cheaper within EU whereas one shop has the best prices for us in the US. I ordered from from Snusomatic.com on monday last week and got the snus the very next day in N.Y. by UPS! How is that even possible?!

    Cheers!

    Welcome to the board. Do you have any idea how to get that snus site to show the prices in US dollars? Do they ship the Monticristo and Romeo & Juliette snus to the USA? I can put these in my cart at least without them being rejected but without knowing the cost of the snus and the shipping I am hesitant to actually continue thru checkout to find out if they actually will ship these to me. Thanks
    Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

    I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

      No doubt, that not only Buysnus and Northerner are interesting and reliable shops. I have a linklist of around ten shops, that are recommended in several international forums by normal members, not some one-time spammers. This includes Snusomatic. So, I guess I'll simply check Snusomatic, before I place my next order.

      PP, I guess you'll have to pay with Swedish Crowns at that shop. Smaller shops surely don't have the manpower to do an accounting with different currencies. Most credit-cards will do the conversion automatically and bill a small fee for that (for me, e.g., it's 1% of the payment amount, every time I have to pay with US-Dollars at Northerner). I just use Yahoo's currency converter to compare the prices.

      Cheers!

        Hello again!

        I found that Snusomatic sums up the total in USD in the shopping cart. They show all prices in SEK for all their products but you can see how much it is in total if you look at the shopping cart at the top right corner.

        As for Romeo Y Julieta and Montecristo I don't know, I've only ordered my favourite Ettan.

        Cheers!

          I haven't used Snusomatic so I have no opinion on them but found this blog which does review a couple of shops

          http://www.skyhorse.org/2006/05/snus...he-swedish-way

          I prefer using Buysnus for a number of reasons - the customer service is excellent, the ability to compare the prices in multiple currencies is useful for taking advantage of the exchange rate if you have a multi-currency bank account, speed of deliver, clear postage pricing + indicator on how far to the next postage level, order history and ability to renew orders etc etc

          I don't think any of the shops are really significantly cheaper in the EU. Taxes are the same and when I shopped for snus in Stockholm last Friday the prices were very similar to those found on the majority of sites.

          I bought the following when I was in Stockholm

          Granit Portion x 1
          Granit White Portion x 1
          Retro White x 1
          Romeo y Julieta x 1

          I paid SEK170 (roughly)

          At Buysnus the total is 196.23

          So I if I shop there or online it makes no real difference

            EU Taxfree Shop

            You can't order at lower cost than http://www.snusen.com - it is tax free sent from Norway - outside the EU without the Swedish tobacco tax.

              To add to chansnuser's comment, although the site does it on its own this time, if you ever need currency converted quickly you can do it in google like this - say you want to know what 329 swedish crowns is in kiwi dollars, you just type

              329 SEK in NZD

              and it will convert for you. Just use standard currency codes :

              SEK = Swedish crown
              USD = US dollar
              CAD = Canadian dollar
              GBP = British Pound,
              NOK = Norwegian crown

              etc :idea:

                I ordered 12 cans of General Onyx from them on Friday, April 25, 2008 and have not received anything. I paid with a Visa and got a "order received and confirmed" email but oddly enough it did not have my address in it. I emailed Frank Svandal about this 5 days ago,no answer yet.

                Thank you for ordering at Snusen.com
                Your order nr: 5698

                  Here's what I have found and it is very easy to do. I only shop through buysnus and northerner. Go to one site and do all of your shopping and then view your GRAND total. Go to the other site and order the same exact stuff and then view that GRAND total. (GRAND, meaning price + shipping). I have done this 3 times and every single time, northerner was a couple dollars less. Seems buysnus's prices are less but they get you with shipping and vice versa with northerner. So, knowing that, I use BOTH sites. Sometimes one site has something the other doesn't. Plus, on northerner, you can buy swedish food and clogs! What's not to love about that! hahaha!

                    Hey that's neat! I use Google's internal calculator almost daily for stuff like going between cubic inches to liters and km^2 to mi^2 etc.
                    But for currencies I've always used the Firefox addon called Exch --> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1747
                    Opens up on the left side (where your history pane would open) and gives you all the info needed including a thorough drop-down list of all(?) existing currencies.

                    Although I think your method is easier if you already know the currency codes. I already use those in this manner: http://finance.google.com/finance?q=EURUSD to see how much the USD is down on the EUR again. I just replace the codes in the URL box to whatever I need.
