    Getsnus, NY, & Thunder Chrome...

Anyone know why getsnus would make me remove chocomint and coffee varieties from my cart? It states that they can't be shipped to NY. This makes no sense. I've tested several other flavored varieties and they weren't removed... WTF is the deal with thunder flavors that they are unavailable?

Don't know, Northerner did that to me for the longest time with the Lakrits varieties of Odens, and then one day it was magically available. Could just be additional hurdles they have to jump through before it gets cleared for NY.

Yeah. I may wind up sending it to someone else and have them ship it to me. Was hoping to have it before leaving for Afghanistan, but that isn't looking like it will happen.

Do New York laws apply to you? You're on federal property, no? Give Rick Charles a shout. Maybe there's something he can do.

As far as I'm aware, military bases obey the laws of the states they are located in. I remember my uncle telling me about how when states started bumping the drinking age up to 21, his current location would determine whether he could drink or not. Pretty sure they don't get cut any slack as far as local alcohol and tobacco laws go.

            Oh, bummer :^(

Well, check Rick anyway. Maybe there's something that can be worked out.

It could be worth looking into. I was googling, and while bases aren't considered beholden to state law, since the 1980s, they've been required to observe local laws regarding the drinking age. It could be different for tobacco, though, haven't seen anything about tobacco regulations except a bunch of bases getting caught selling tobacco at prices lower than the law allows.

That's poppycock!! You know that if you don't get your hands on any before shipping out, many of us will make sure that some reaches you overseas! Keep us posted...I have to place another order soon and it is just too easy to add a few cans or rolls and turn around and send to you. PM if you need help

Didn't this issue come up before?
I'm trying to find the thread but no dice.
Something about a flavor ban in New York?

You are correct about the base following state laws. I also got an email from getsnus stating that NY law only allows the sale of tobacco and mint varieties. Odd how i can walk into any store and purchase 100001 flavors of dip.

Oh well. I got my answer. I leave in less than 2 weeks, so i wont worry about it. I still have about 3 rolls of odens and a couple rolls of phantom to get me started.

I have my APO address already, but i am not going to post it here.

Xobe do you want to ship to me and I'll rifle it off to NY as soon as it gets here? I'm obviously very far away from you, but being in a major city I send/receive shipments real fast. ~ 2 weeks is plenty of time.

Googling only brings up a ban on flavoured tobacco in NYC. Around here (45 minutes or so north of NYC) there's a plethora of all sorts of flavoured tobaccos for sale. They tried pulling the same thing with Odens ES Lakrits a while ago, yet they'll ship that to me now. Go figure, this is part of why I'd rather just order elsewhere.

Will shoot my apo to you shortly, but as of this order, i'll be rolling out with roughly 8-9 rolls
