What is up with shipping charges???

I know it probably has something to do with the PACT act, but Northerner was going to charge me $13 for one can, and Snucentral $28 to ship 2 cans!!! WTF?? What could possibly make shipping expenses go from a few bucks to such a ridiculous amount? Since I've been able to find General in local stores, I haven't ordered snus in a long time, probably almost a year ago. I've ben wanting to order some other stuff, but to hell with those prices, I'll just stick with General.

Yes, PACT brought state taxes into play and has forced shipping through UPS or FedEx and this drastically increased costs. Savings is found in bulk orders (3+ rolls) as the shipping will not increase much up to a certain point. I would just do a cost per can comparison between your B&M and say a 2 or 3 roll order from Buysnus (who allows you to handle your own state tax situation). Unfortunately the days of 2 or 3 can orders are long gone.

Just to let you know, my local Tinderbox will ship snus anywhere in the country. They actually said anywhere in the world. They'll take your CC info over the phone then run to the PO. Of course the snus is $5 a can there, but still good on shipping.

Make sure you set you location on the site. You are probably being quoted shipping from Sweden. I made that mistake too. Shipping is still a little high but you can get 3 10-can rolls shipped for $15

Also, since you're in PA you have another option. Northerner is in Mechanicburg which is roughly 1.5 - 2 hours from Scranton in light traffic.

I was just ASSuming. But, if I still lived in Harrisburg, I would damn sure be trying to talk them into it. Either that or It would be my mission to befriend somebody that works there..
