As of yet I have never ordered snus online, only purchase in a store in the neighboring city. What are you guys' favorite sites to order from and why? Is every site 30+ dollars for shipping?

The shipping wasn't quite free, but much less than other sites I have seen. I ordered from getsnus.com. I decided to just try a few different kinds and ordered one of each - Göteborgs Rape White Portion, Roda Lacket Loose, Göteborgs Rape White Mini Portion, General Portion, General Ekstra Sterk Loose, General Strong White Portion, and Ettan loose. I also decided to throw in a prismaster to see how that works. I've been doing ok making my own pris with the general loose I have and don't want to commit to paying 40 dollars for an icetool.

The free shipping offer expired 12/4/2011. Northerner has done promotions like this before so I would keep checking their website from time to time to see if they offer it in the future. If you want free shipping now, you can get it by placing at least $100.00 order at the snuson store. The only problem is that their selection is a bit limited right now.

One thing to keep in mind is economy of scale. You do better by ordering larger amounts. I wouldn't order less than 2 rolls. You can wait for a good deal at one of the sellers, and then stock up. It's hard to do if you don't know what you like, but as you get your tastes refined, you can buy in quantity. Ordering 4 or 5 rolls is perfectly reasonable AFAIC. Snus will always be cheaper today, and you can't guarantee what tomorrow will bring.

I will probably order larger amounts in the future. I just decided to get a smaller order this time to try out a few different types to see what I like. I'll be leaving for basic training in February and can't bring any tobacco products with me. I plan to order more once I am able to be in one place for a while.

It's pretty much Northerner or Buysnus. Getsnus = Northerner and SnusCentral = Buysnus. Oh and SnusOn shop is Northerner. There's also the exchange thread on here. And PP has good deals too!
Thanks for your service!

No love for Premiumsnus around here?
I always get the freshest batch from them and it reaches me in about 4 days.

No offense meant to the OP, but could we maybe get the search function to work better, or else make a sticky thread like this? It seems like every week we see at least one or two, "OMG, lots of options online, what do?" sort of threads. I don't know how some of you guys have the patience to type out the same reply over and over. It could save time and reduce clutter on the boards to just make a stickied thread, and have everyone post there questions there, or else just give the same response we do anyway, and then close it. Closing it immediately would suck, because people wouldn't be able to warn about conditions unique to the time the question is asked (say, if one store or another is experiencing particularly bad delays at the moment or something), but leaving it open means all the clutter would just be in one thread, as nobody's going to want to read a 20 page thread just to see if their question was already answered.
The general response always seems to remain:
— It's more cost effective to place larger orders. This reduces the shipping can per cost, and buying rolls is cheaper than buying 10 individual tins.
— Until you've figured out what you like (it takes a little bit to really settle in on your tastes), try as much as you'd like/can. Rolls are cheaper than individual tins, but nothing sucks more than buying a roll or two of a snus you really liked in your first order, and realising you have 10 tins of something you can't stand when your tastes get settled down.
—There's tons of variety, try it all if you can to see what works for you and what doesn't, as everyone has different tastes.
— Do mock orders to compare price to see if the same order can save you a few dollars if you use a different store.
— Only keep a few open tins at a time in the fridge. Keep the rest of your stock in the freezer if you can for optimal long term storage.
Maybe do a break down of the pros and cons of the major stores. It might sound like I'm nit-picking, but as a long time forum user, my habits from other forums make me go nuts seeing the same thread opened over and over again each week, when a well made sticky could suffice to reduce clutter, and effectively cut down on what amount to spam/redundant posts. Not everyone will read it, sure, but I recall substantially less threads opened going "Dipper trying snus" as we've got Snusdog's thread. You still get some, but it's relatively small in number.

I don't frequent other forums except on rare occasion, but don't all forum search engines suck? Is this not a recurring theme on all forums? And how many portions does everyone use each day? Should I keep open cans in the fridge? Do you guys think I should buy a Mac or a PC? Discuss?

My apologies - I tried typing in the search bar and didn't really find what I was looking for. I tried google and did a few mock orders but most of them had very high shipping costs. I appreciate everyone answering my thread and being patient about answering a question many people have already asked
