Good god I've never heard of such a high premium through an employer, do you have like 20 kids? Even going without your employer seems like it would be cheaper than that. $1500 is completely insane, I don't think I have a single bill including rent that is that high. My employer charges $90 a month for my family of 3 for our HMO, so did all my others. What are you working at, a concentration camp or something? Jesus christ man I would be homeless and on the street if I had to pay that much.

Just a family of 3 for Kaiser. The premiums keep going up and it gets passed on to us. It hurts but I am just grateful to have it especially with a kid. We did the pay as you go plan when I was in college years ago and it was downright scary to see a doctor. What's funny is that many doctors cant even tell you what their rates are when you call for an estimate.

Yah this is a huge problem, they sell healthcare like it's a cheeseburger but don't know the price up-front. It's like "Hey I want an MRI, how much will that cost me", and the answer is "I don't know, let's go get you an MRI!".

I can't believe it's that much for a family of three. Why not just purchase it separate from your employer, it would be way cheaper than $1500 a month, I used to pay for it out of pocket with no employer contribution and it was never that much, are they contributing anything?

Edit: And Kaiser, really? They are probably the best HC place to go IMO. I am amazed they would charge that much. Such a shame we don't have single payer here.

I made two orders of soon-to-expire portions this month and they both arrived timely. Nice mix, too: a real taster kit of some 8 different types, and very cheap. I cannot complain

So it might be a problem of a particular brand you are ordering or what...

Ouch. I pay €70 (about a hundred US dollars) a month and it covers a family of five. On the other hand, your health care is probably much better in quality and customer service and things like that.

I've said it before, but here's my healthcare plan...

Outlaw medical lawsuits. If a doctor fscks up, you live or die with it. if you don't want the risk, fix your own problems.

Outlaw 3rd party medical *insurance. Why should someone who has no horses in the race get money? They're making a profit, and have no role in the care. The only acceptable insurance is through a medical institution. You make regular payments, and they fix you regardless of cost. That's free market healthcare. Institutions that suck will command lower rates, or have fewer people that buy their services giving them incentive to improve.

*insurance is a bullshit term. Insurance is gambling. You buy that with the intention of never needing it. Everyone uses healthcare. The correct term is healthcare plan.

I pay right around $300 a month for myself and my kids. OUr plan costs about $900 (Employer pays about $600 of it.

If I were to add my wife? It would be well over $700 per month with the total plan cost being right at about $1,600. My company doesn't pick up any of the tab on spouses for some reason.

Luckily, she works for the same company and has medical through them. She pays $50 per month so it works out well.

I haven't had the Odens since I don't like wintergreen, but it's gotten very favorable reviews by those who have tried it. Based on what I've read, Odens and Jakobssons make the most popular wintergreen flavors.

If you've had Thunder Wintergreen you'll know how retchingly awful it is.
Odens Extreme Wintergreen is nothing like it - very tasty. Of all the Wintergreens this is the best.

Thanks both of you for the input... (yes thunder wintergreen is terrible) Where would yall suggest buying odens wintergreen since northerner doesn't stock it in america. I finally gave up on roda lacket, and probe whiskey getting in stock so i traded em out for grovsnus los, and Jakobssons melon. i must say grov is my favorite snus now it taste soooo much like Copenhagen original. I have to give props to northerner they 2day shipped all the rest of my order as soon as it came in stock.
                        Thanks jbb

I'm pretty sure you can get cheap snus pretty much anywhere in Sweden

you don't have to go to the Northerner warehouse for that, but they most likely will sell from the warehouse too, lol.

Send them an email to clarify you on this.
