That all makes sense. What does not make sense and the point to which I was trying to speak, is what the hell are they thinking?? Things have gone from bad to worse, this very board is chock-full of complaints, and no one *seems* to be lifting a figure to rectify the many grievances. I'm sure they work a lot harder than is apparent to the average consumer, but my point is that I am far from impressed with how these difficulties have been handled. I do not trust that a purchase I make will arrive in anything approaching a timely manner, and the reasons for my distrust have been made obvious by the masses. Meanwhile, a certain other vendor continues to keep goods in stock and deliver to my door in 72 hours. It's just not smart business, and I am hoping they address it, either publicly or privately. If they don't, I worry for their future. That's all
Bro I hear you............and I was not at all disputing what you said.............I too am a concerned cheerleader.......I want to see snus succeed and don't understand most of what is going on with the never ending dilemmas

Your post for some reason just made me think back to when it was all so much simpler.........that’s all…………...I miss those times

May snus prevail………and may it stay forever simple
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I usually order about a roll of mixed stuff which comes out to about 60 bucks. SO, lets say 30 dollars a roll times 4= 120..

I am actually getting two rolls for free then. Not a bad deal if you can find something you like.

I had two tabs open, one for getsnus and one for buysnus.com. Getsnus was $2 cheaper so I went ahead and placed a $100 order. It's Thursday and I expected to get it today since I didn't get an email letting me know there were any problems. Half the stuff I ordered is out of stock (I really think it was in stock when I placed it on Sunday night).

Great, now I get to drive 6 hours to buy my wife snus or she will turn into a raving lunatic.

Moral of the story? Northerner is dropping the ball. Order somewhere else. Too bad really. I've been ordering almost exclusively from there since 2008. I dropped them a line in hopes of them at least shipping the in stock part of my order but my wife will be out by this weekend.

I remember one time I waited for an order for like 3-4 months and was like frantic trying to find out where the **** my snus was. Luckily Rick here from the forum helped me out but still it was like agony because they kept all my money so I couldn't buy from another vendor and then instead of 7 days it took them like 3 months to deliver lol.

Not to hijack the thread but my response from them was basically a form letter saying hey we will ship it when it's here and here are 200 extra points.

To top it off, they called me Sir/Madame.........

Maybe I had a bad day at work but in all seriousness, they really need to learn some customer service skills. In the past, I've had partials shipped or at least been informed that there was a problem with the order.

I'm just pissed I have to waste $40 or more on gas getting my wife snus or she will go nuts.

I'll just stick with buysnus from now on. Northerner has lost me for good this time.

When you have a near monopoly it's easy to get around having to provide good customer service. More than half of the internet storefronts that sell snus are run by Northerner in some shape or form.

On the other hand, at least since they hired Rick on I feel like they have been attentive to customer service needs for the most part. Rick even sent me some of his own snus one time when they were lagging and for that I have to say I am very grateful, even though I know he did it as a friend of the forum more than as an employee of Northerner. They usually come through and even offer a discount or some points or something, but it really does boggle my mind that they don't have a guy who's job it is to say "Hmm, EU is going to be shutting down our snus operation here soon, maybe we need to order some extra inventory so we can sell more via our American storefronts". Instead we have this period at least once a year where it's a drought, where everything is on backorder for a month. To further the conundrum, they don't send out an email saying "Hey it might be a little late so you can stop staring at your mailbox now" or even ship part of your order to stop you from clawing your eyes out during the wait.

I really miss Jonathan, he would have made a million dollars from me if he had staid in business, but as always the regulations made it harder from small operations and now we are at the mercy of the behemoths like Northerner who could afford to stay affloat. I feel like a crack fiend at a gas station begging for change, constantly refreshing the northerner's site to check their inventory while intermittently counting my last few cans of snus I have in the fridge, screaming at the computer screen "cummon **** wit me man, cummon man **** wit me man I'm running low man cummon."

That's the thing though, they do not have anything close to a monopoly. They have one very strong competitor who will continue to take their customers as long as they keep pulling shit like this. I try not to talk a bunch of shit like I did in this thread, but I really want Northerner to read my sentiments and those of others like me. It is obviously in their best interest as a company to listen to their customers, which they have shown zero sign of doing. The obvious exception is Rick. Rick is the shit, love the guy.

Healthy competition is good, but they are letting the other guy take their customer base en masse. I realize there may be lots of factors that aren't apparent to us, but whatever it takes they are going to have to do it to keep afloat. A lot of people wear Nikes. Seen any LA Gears lately?

                      I miss LA Gear stuff......

I have always had a good experience with Northerner. I never had to contact customer service.

It definitely is annoying, I'll admit that. I'm out of lös, and I'd like to grab a roll of Ettan and Pioneer, and free shipping through the 19th might even mean I'd pick up a third roll for good measure

I could go with SnusCentral and get 10% off since I've never ordered there before....but then I can't get Pioneer. Plus, I get to spend $35, which is basically that third roll of snus, for UPS to ship it over here from Lidköping. That shipping cost is really hard for me to swallow, and is basically why I've only ordered snus from Northerner since PACT passed.

Now......if BuySnus and/or SnusCentral were to match Northerner's free shipping offer right now, I'll bet they'd make a killing

Does anyone know how to utilize the free shipping? My cart at northerner still shows the 13 bucks shipping fees!

Just wanted to make sure everyone heard about this....We're extending the free shipping offer for awhile, and exact cut off date will follow later. We want to ensure that anyone that wanted to take advantage of this deal would be able to do so, now that product is in the warehouse.

I've been told that the site should be updated Monday, so check back later today. Thanks for being patient with us and understanding that the shortage of product was out of our control. Rest assured though, processes have been put into place to prevent something like a UPS warehouse from causing a shortage like this again.

Does the free shipping apply to Europeans?

EDIT: nevermind, it seems that it doesn't

If it were me, I'd use this opportunity to get some Gotland Julesnus lös. Put it in the freezer until next Xmas season. It keeps very well, and my confidence of it coming back in lös form is about 40%. If it isn't here next year, I don't want to hear any whining. I told you ;^)
