    Oliver Twist ***REVISITED***

    OK...

After lxskllr began talking about Grimm and Triepel at Mr. Snuff I got a hanker'n for some Oliver Twist. I purchased some and discovered I like it!

I now have some questions... and remember, I am old and slow...

    1. Why doesn't Mr. Snuff sell Oliver Twist?
    2. How similar is the Grimm and Triepel compared to Oliver Twist?
    3. Are the small "Twist Tobacco's" (Gawith Hoggarth) sold by Mr. Snuff similar to Oliver Twist (can you cut them into small bits and use them like OT?)
    4. What the hell is the difference between a pigtail, small, medium and large versions of the Gawith Hoggarth?
    5. Is anyone aware of products similar to Oliver Twist, and if so, what are they and where are they sold?

    I appreciate your assistance!

I can give a couple points maybe...

1 - Don't know. Maybe he isn't aware of them. G&T is kind of a one-off. If that sells well, maybe he'll consider more.

2 - they're very similar. G&T isn't quite as sweet, and the flavor doesn't last as long, but the overall concept is the same.

From my sparce experience it seems that OT's are the only ones that you can swallow the juice.
I've tried the Arctic and the Eucalyptus and can quite categorically review them as bogging. But - fundamentally these things are pretty good - the nicotine is very acceptable.
I've still got to try the basic liquorice flavour which I expect will be much better. It's a shame that they don't do natural flavour.

I think the only thing close to OT's are picanell.

Yea... that's what I like about them... they have a nice nic hit. I can't do strong snus the way I use to... gives me heartburn. I also like that they are small... even smaller than mini snus portions.

I should have a Samuel Gawith twist in my mailbox tomorrow or the next day. I will post my thoughts as soon as I try it as well as my opinion of the Grimm and Tripel. Tomorrow. I hope.

Being a long term sterk user I found these could be quite strong. The nicotine delivery is different from snus - it seems to be absorbed from all areas of the mouth giving quite a pleasant sensation.

I tried these in Sweden - must say i wasn't impressed despite looking forward to them. They just tasted of salt. After tasting it i longed for an Oliver Twist or a Swedish snus.

Gawith and Hogarth Twist most of the taste is strong tobacco. I have used their Toffee, Black Cherry, Vanilla and regular flavours and the flavouring is quite subtle with a strong tobacco taste. Oliver Twist has a nicer flavour but not as bigger nic hit.

If I had to choose Oliver Twist would be an everyday tobacco.
