The FDA has sent a letter warning http://www.mysnus.com/ on violations Section 911 of FSPTCA.

I was not familiar with mysnus but they do sell to the US from Sweden. The FDA sure is getting a long arm. Wish they would keep in off of my snus. I don't know what the legal issues are as I'm not a lawyer but as with everything the FDA is doing it can't be good.

I quickly read the warning letter. From what I gather the thing the FDA has a problem with is "because you promote them as modified risk tobacco products without an FDA order in effect that permits such promotion.".

So I guess as long as they change it to say "this stuff causes cancer and is no better for you than smoking, you are all gonna die from snus" Then the FDA will leave them alone.

Whats more the FDA has a problem with other product descriptions.... "You also describe smokeless tobacco products that you offer for sale on http://www.mysnus.com as being mild by referring to them as such in product advertising. For example, your promotional material refers to Goteborgs Prima Fint Loose as "A mild snus.""

Well if Prima Fint isn't a mild flavored snus I don't know what is... Are they gonna bitch when they describe Thunder Frosted as "a minty snus".

Please submit a written response to this letter within 15 working days from the date of receipt describing your corrective actions, including the dates on which you discontinued the violative promotion, advertising, sale, and/or distribution of these tobacco products.

Dear FDA

Per your request that we respond to your letter, dated 03/28/2012, we respectfully suggest that you blow it out your ass.

I would wait until I had something from my own government and then play dumb.............yaz ve got it butz it vaz all in Vnglish so ve did not know vhat it said.............

In the meantime, I would ship the snus via Swedish post........with fake ebay stickers.......

The problem as mentioned above is that the FDA can seize shipments from mysnus if they don't comply. Since they are selling to the USA they have to comply with the FDAs interpretation of the FSPTCA (Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act). That is the bill that gave the FDA regulator power over tobacco.

Since the FDA is perhaps the most corrupt arm of the government out there I would guess we can look forward to more of this in the future. What fun.....
