    Question about Northerner

I have ordered from Northerner a few times and never have had any issues. Always good fast service. I just placed a relatively large order of snus and a few of the cans that I received are set to expire in three days. Is this normal? Should I complain or just chalk it up to experience. Thanks.

You can complain if you want, though I doubt they will replace it since it isn't expired yet. Some people have complained of this here before.

Truthfully, the expiration date is very relative. It will last way beyond the date. Keep the ones you aren't using in the freezer and they should last you a very long time. As long as they aren't dry you should be fine, I never even look at the dates personally as long as it's still moist.

I never look at the dates when I get snus. It's completely unimportant to me. It all goes in the freezer to be used at a later date, sometimes yeas later. I'd let it go. It's a suboptimal condition I guess, but no big deal at all.

Yes! and Yes! That has always been my experience with Northerner... IMHO... Just chalk it up to experience and shop elsewhere where the cans are the freshest snus with long best before dates like Snuscentral or Buysnus... In my opinion that is not the freshest snus and ripping you off by selling you very near expired snus at a premium price... I know of no other snus webstore that does this but Northerener... They should be selling that at a discount and not charging you full price... Sorry that is just my opinion...

Thanks for the replies. I really wouldn't care about the date but it is as dry as the Sahara. Oh well live and learn.

If it's dry I would complain, if it's useable I wouldn't. They may hook you up since it's dry though. A lotta people here have beef with northerner, and probably rightly so, might want to try elsewhere.

I ordered a roll of General Onyx that was described as black portion, only to receive a roll of General Onyx white pouches.

I didn't know Onyx came in white pouches.......

just send Northerner and email and ask them to exchange the white portions with a black roll

Onyx changed to white awhile ago. They are switching back to black, which will not be available in the U.S. due to a problem with the FDA

i am all stocked up on most snus but i need a few cans of my favorite to get by until my next order from Sweden. tuesday night i ordered four CANS figuring an order that small would be here thursday or friday at the lastest. i checked the order at northerner last night and it said sent but did not list a tracking number. tonight i checked again and there is a tracking number the update says "Order Processed: Ready for UPS". We all know what that means by now. My four cans of snus are sitting waiting to be picked up by ups tomorrow. says it will be here monday. anyone want to take a bet that they sent the wrong brand and its out of date?
