Northerner practices or is Odenssnus.com really the ONLY honest vendor still online?

2. Northerner.com.... I really don't know what I should say... I am thankful to northerner (I think we all are) for having found a way to keep things going (sales from a different EU country/warehouse). I was specifically attracted to northerner because of the great deals it is advertising on Phantom snus.. 20 euros for a roll of Phantom... that's damn good.. or so I thought it was...
So, I threw 2 rolls of Phantom snus into shopping cart and headed for checkout. At this point I noticed that the price has increased by something like 40% because tobacco tax as well as Swedish sales tax is not included in the price listed in "snus menu". Dishonest? Yes, but still not a big deal, so I went on. Hit "complete order", ticked "UPS Standard" and grabbed my credit card.... now if you think all should have worked well, you are totally wrong. At this point I noticed that I am unable to pay with credit card and wire transfer is the only option, so I ticked that... which added another charge of 3.60 Euros to my bill (wire transfer fee). Still not a big deal? So I thought ...
I finished my order and instantly got an invoice from northerner in email - bill and bank details in Sweden where I am supposed to wire the money to. I phoned my bank and asked how much it would costs to send 100 euros to a bank account in Sweden? The answer was it would costs me 15 Euros... BUT!!!! WHAT WAS THE WIRE TRANSFER FEE OF 3.60 EUROS CHARGED FOR?????

Long story short, I decided not to continue with this northerner order, not because I am not good at doing complicated things but because I disapprove of dishonest practiced. I will delete my northerner account and will never ever use them again!

3. Closed shopping community... I was actually looking for a single roll of Skruf Loose. Threw that into my shopping card to went to checkout. Ooops... UPS Saver (my only shipping method with another option being Swedeish post which I don't want to use because of possible problems) has become more expensive yet again... a whooping 36 Euros. I signed out and will probably never log back again...

Now the question: is Odenssnus.com really the ONLY honest company still on the market? I've come to this conclusion because ALL other shops just suck for one reason or another. I hate dishonest biz practices, hidden costs and bad surprises at checkout, cannot justify these even in the hardest of times.

Let's give odenssnus as much business as we can, guys... good and honest biz has to be supported!

If you order from Northerner's US warehouse you pay NO tax on the order ;-) At least to the UK you don't, however you do run the customs gauntlet, however had all packages get through no problems. However I do agree with you RE the tax and vat being added at the checkout as it does make you think you are getting the snus cheaper, then you get hit with all the extras. Their stnd shipping costs have gone up dramatically in the last few weeks too.

Was never part of the closed community so cannot comment.

I cannot speak better of GN, everything I have ever ordered has come in fine, cheaper than Northerner etc (their prices shown include VAT etc) and well, GN is just the man!! Gevorg and the company put their customers first, which is what you want at the end of the day.

I agree Jan. with Odenssnus.com there's no shit or no hassle. GN is providing an amazing service for us. It is also the cheapest for Snus which is an added bonus. I've ordered from the other two websites before, but not anymore. The reason, i think GN's Snus is better, his prices are better, and i'd rather give my money to a company that really cares for it's customers.

It's beginning to seem that way. I wanted to order a single roll of Thunder Orange and it would have cost me almost $50! Even my snus pimp is bitching about the prices and shipping costs! IMO. Odens is the only good and fair deal available on the snus market at this time.

I am always glad to see threads like this...............not the problem bit of course...........my hopes are that all our shops will find their way through this mess

The part I love is the positive reports about GN and Odens. GN does so much for the members of this forum. When people come here to search snus and shops and Oden/Extreme products................they will read this and other testimonials (no propaganda.....just real unsolicited experiences)................and reading them I suspect many will give Odens a try.................thus I am glad that in some small way we are able to send a little love back GN's way

I second that Bill. Odenssnus has done everything possible and is trying to go beyond the possible to ensure EU snusers are happy, even though EU sales account for a fraction of their turnover. As I said I look forward to trying Olde Ving portions brand, I am sure it is excellent like the rest of Oden's line.. however, it would be nice to have Olde Ving in loose form.

Yeah Jan. Olde Ving is a great regular strength snus, i love it and thanks to GN's samples will definitely be ordering more in my next order. Being mainly a Los Snus user though, i'd really love to see Olde Ving loose as well.

For those looking for a regular strength portion.............I cannot think of a better place to start than the Ving line.

The classic (along with the Extreme Regular strength) and the Ginger Ving are fantastic......I have yet to try the mint.....but if mint is your thing I would put it on the top of the list to try

GN and Jimmy (Odens and Gotlands) are two makers we need to support.............I would add Gellivare and Landstroms to this list......but alas they are still out of tins..............

Also the V2 brothers need to be on this list

Northerner is doing a good job at distributing product to retail locations in the US, but I keep reading negative feedback regarding their online ordering system.

Personally, I think Northerner should close their online shop to consumers, and focus on retailers. It's what they do best, it seems.

That would alienate the European snusers as its really the only alternative for us if we want other snus thats not oden's as all the other site only do the US or outside the EU.

yup Northerner, PP and GN pus other kind members on here are the only sources of snus for us unless we fly to sweden.
