Might be worth us all editing important information out of our account details, huge security risk here.

Many years ago, I worked in Trust Banking and there were only 3 or 4 Trust Computer systems available and none were very sophisticated by todays standards.
So, if a better system was desired all the info. Had to be transferred by hand. This amounted to several hundred pieces of info. For each account or sub account. Some pieces were extensive such as transaction history for at least a year, which amounted to thousands of transactions in many cases. In order to save money all banks I worked for used unpaid overtime to do these comversions. With ongoing operations and conversion work everyone was exhausted for months at a time and most customers accounts were FUBAR. This is the mentality that brought us the worldwide Banking crises. No common sense by decision makers. The decision makers, of course, didnt participate in the sweat shop working
conditions, nor did they field the customer complaints.
Sounds like the Northerner learned their management skills from pampered Bank executives or perhaps Government bureaucrats.

It's hard to know what to do in this situation!
On the one hand - they are accidentally sharing our addresses and names with random people through the new site's complete failure. However - I have tried to check and they can't change your password once in unless they know the old one - and as far as I can tell they're not storing my card details as I have to enter it myself if I want to order.
But ... it does look as if they are allowing Swedish Match sales with the EU shipping checked ... at least for the moment. And I really like Swedish Match products. I am in a bit of a quandry about this one.
Cheers

You might want to stay logged out unless you are actually using the site.
I wonder if this would keep your account from being crossed with other open accounts.
I have been logged out and there is no activity or orders in my account........
Regardless............how this site is still up (instead of the old one) is mind boggling.
Every day it seems they are digging a deeper and deeper mess to have to climb out of
If people are buying snus and it is being shipped to other people........they are going to have an endless and expensive mess that will take months for them to resolve.
The only thing I can think is that if the cross up we see is not actually what they see.........then maybe the right account gets the right snus.
Anyway
Step 1: Take new site down
Step 2: put old site back up
Step 3: fire the entire IT departmentWhen it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

Like many here I have had mistakes with Northerner but I don't think I ever complained before this thread. In the past I always tried to make positive comments about them and am grateful for the fact that they opened up in the US.
They have information on the site that would really help as far as the potential for identity theft and they are ignoring that obligation to protect the privacy of their customers.
Does anyone have a phone number for Northerner?
