    i think i've ordered from them at least 5-6 times (around two years ago), and then it mostly took 4-5 days, and at the most 8-9. so six weeks is a bit more, yes but it's kinda reassuring that you say it might show up. do you know of any concrete cases? (northener/swedish-snus -> japan)

    and; i have always been thinking that i'm dealing with " www.swedish-snus.com ", and that my goods are sent from sweden. that's right, no?

      Not to Japan, but other countries have had snus show up after a long wait. I don't think the country being shipped to is relevant, unless you have issues with your country's customs. The only question is does Northerner get it into post somehow? and I think they do, but the length of time it takes to get anywhere is inexplicable. I have no idea the path the snus takes. Looking at posts here, it makes a tour of the world before reaching its' destination :^D

      Northerner just changed websites, and there may have been extensive changes on the back end. Everything went to hell when when they changed their website, and AFAIK, they're still trying to get caught up. I wouldn't write them off completely going forward, but I'd recommend caution and patience when using them in the present.

        So mad and upset with Northerner I could hurt myself (not really) But I will NEVER ever order anything from them again! After waiting 8 days with zero replies to my requests I finally got them to reply.. Basically I ordered a few things and 5 days later after writing once each day I get a reply telling me the delay is because they are out of 4 different kinds of loose snus i had ordered out of a dozen or so brands.. I asked why it says they over 20+ of each brand in stock in the USA warehouse when I ordered AND at this very moment but yet they do not have any? Makes no sense! If it is not in stock why the hell does it say in stock?!?!? Well as I said 5 days later they write this but my note to them the day I ordered asking them to please send it out quickly as I was almost out of snus and if they could try and get it out quickly.. nope they tell me 5 days later the 4 brands are out and if I wanted a refund on the 4 and for them to ship the others, I told them please just hurry and just credit my Northerner account and ship the others out because I am out of snus and do not fancy American dip.. 3 days after that they say ok and credit my account (going on 8 days now).. on the 10th day it was shipped out and should be here today..
        Before i placed the order I had asked about when Pioneer would be back in stock, they wrote back, They had told me that Pioneer was out of stock and that the manufacturer was out because of supply issues.. I wrote Petter (sp?) at Pioneer and he said he had shipped 960 cans to Northerner the week before and they should be in stock anytime now.. So I placed my order as I needed snus badly and not joking directly after I ordered I refreshed the page with Pioneer on it and it was in stock..DAG NABBIT!

        So after all that the credit was in my account on Northerner and I quickly ordered some Pioneer and used the Credit.. My card got declined because I forgot to transfer money into my account.. But instead of giving me back the credit it ate it as if the order went through... I wrote and told them my order got declined and if they could re-credit my northerner account with the original store credit as it had taken it but the order was declined and so was asking for it to be re-credited.. after 3 days of writing them I got a reply "This order was declined and therefore there is no credit to be credit towards you, If you have any questions please feel free to contact me" I wrote back two days ago that the store credit I had used on the declined order was taken from me but not returned after the canceled order and if they could give me back the store credit again so I can actually use it.. It is going on the 3rd day now and I just want my credit back so I can order a few cans of Pioneer and call it quits with this company..

        On top of all this my first order they had forgot my apartment number and so UPS when they came the driver had said he remembered me from before and so he knew which door to knock on (luckily) and he proceeded to tell me that there policy is they MUST ship it back to the sender if there is no apartment number listed.. So I wrote Northerner and told them about his and they told me I had to change it in my setting as they could not access customers personal profile.. lol so I went and sure enough it was in there and so I wrote back telling them this and she said they will take note and it won't be an issue.. Second order I am eagerly waiting for it and see UPS out front my apartment but it is a different driver and he is going to my neighbors (luckily or else..) and he jumps back into his vehicle so I run out there and waive him down and told him I am waiting on a package from Pennsylvania and he was rude which is not Northerners fault but none the less I would not have to have dealt with the following if they would have just took the time to make sure my apartment number was on the damn package.. He said he had no package for me and I said the tracker says its out for delivery and I asked him if there is another truck coming by possibly? He was really rude and said no he was the only truck and s I told him the first time these people sent the package they forgot my apartment number and he said oh I have one here without an apartment number on it but I am required by policy to ship it back to the sender. I told him I had contacted them to tell them to remember my apt number but obviously they had not did that.. (Why he did not think when I first asked that the package without a number on it could possibly be mine since it was the only one left within my apartment complex is beyond me) After arguing with him he gave it to me..

        Now after all that I wrote to them and gave them a piece of my mind and they assured me it would not happen again.. well it did last week I got another one without the damn apartment number and the UPS driver from the first order knocked and said these people must have forgot my apt number AGAIN.. and I laughed in haste and so did he... I am suppose to get my 4th order from them today the one I have waited 13 days for now and if it does not have my apartment number on it I might flip my lid!

        This is what sums up my experience EVERY TIME I have ordered with them:

        1. Says stuff is in stock when it is not= long waits while they have MY money
        2. confusion because of language barrier as the CS is foreign
        3. From POS to shipping is way way to long
        4. NO apt number on it 3 orders in a row!
        5. Told things will not be in stock because of manufacturer issues when actually they become in stock that same day, shows there communications internally are nil
        6. Snus with 3 days until they expire and they will not do nothing about it, by the time I opened the second can they were expired.
        7. completely boggled why zero changes can be made after an order other than canceling it..
        8. that only Northerner and the other sister site is the only one selling Pioneer and that from now on I must order from Phuket,Thailand and have it shipped to my home in Bangkok and have my brother in law ship it to me here.. so I spend 30$ for a roll of Pioneer then pay for it to be shipped here from there which is another 25$!!!

        In closure I have never been this frustrated with a company and it seems after reading there history of how the owner started out selling online out of his apartment and walking them to the PO has changed into a business that gives two shhits about their customers and it makes no sense to say something is in stock then have the person order it and then NOT contact them until the customer complains and then tell them the whole reason your order is not shipping is because they are out of stock on that item as if I knew that when ordering and I have no right to be asking about it because I should have known that I would have to wait till it is in stock for them to ship my order.. Really? I would NOT have ordered it if it were back-ordered for the simple fact I do not want to wait for my other things while they slowly replenish there stock.

        Now i have to wait more time to get that measly 20$ Credit so I can waste 13.50$ of it on shipping and spend more money I do not want to give them on getting some Pioneer to use up the store credit.. I will update when the next order arrives today (if it does not because of the apt # thing I tell you what)

        Sorry for the long post but I am more than fed up with this and had to vent thanks

        This company is obviously just an online store with a hired warehouse that probably packs and ships for many companies and all they do is you place an order, the warehouse drop-shipper prints the label and fills the order and ships it, thinking that is why they will not let you change anything and all that is they want to be able to sell things with the least amount of interaction they just want to receive money and have someone else ship it and could care less if you are upset about it... If they packaged the products themselves for shipment it would not be a hard thing to make sure the apartment number is on or that thing are in or not in-stock... someone else is going to get my money from now on! Which IS their loss cause I use a can of loose every single day which is 30 cans or more a month!

          Northerner: Half the snus, double the price

          So it´s final. My order from the end of summer was delivered, but Northerner only included 10 of the ordered (and paid for) 20 cans. I asked them twice, a month ago and today. The reply was the same: They sent two parcels. But why the only one parcel I received had the number "20" in large, friendly letters on the cover?

          Well, seems I bought Northerner C & M 3 for some 7 Euro per can. My bad

                okay. the order from northerner/swedish-snus is soon on it's seventh week. they say they have sent it, something i'm beginning to question.
                BUT
                as i might have mentioned earlier, on monday this week i placed an order at buysnus, and it was in my mailbox TODAY! of course i'm really happy, and will never again use northerner/swedishsnus but rather buysnus from now on. talk about swiftness and pure bliss!

                best of luck to all of you victims of the northerner - including myself. they don't even answer my 'tickets'...

                  Just an update, I got an email within a few hours from Northerner (Amy) giving me a refund on the items that I wasn't prepared to wait any longer.

                  They were very polite and I found the customer service extremely good / quick to act.

                  Like I say, my General Los & Thunder Extra Strong Portion both came within a week....the rest was refunded without any hassle!

                      No probs, there are the DOS ones too but never had those.

                      Anyone notice you can't Get General White Portion on northerner atm? Only Strong white, no OP or ES Loose or Loose. Are they out of stock? coming back? I need my White portion and ES Los!!

                        are the northerner/swedish-snus bankrupt? i still haven't received my order after almost two months, and they never seem to answer my 'tickets' in any serious manner. never before had the experience of feeling that a company i've given money to, fails to deliver (well, it might still be that it's lost in transit), but what ever i ask them, the response is the same copy and paste answer they've given me 3 or 4 times now.

                        or am i just demanding too much? they say (in the form of copy/paste) that when the order is shipped, they won't take any more responsibility. but then again, shouldn't they answer my simple questions like 'does this happen often?', 'is there any more you can tell me as for what to expect and so on?', 'has this happened a lot recently to other customers?' and 'is there ANY possibility that this is all due to some of the major technical problems you had during the beginning of october?'

                        i feel like i should just forget the whole thing and accept my lost money, and try to get most people possible to boycott this shop that obviously shits on their customers.. :/

                          Just keep on them. Every few days make a new inquiry, I think you'll get something eventually.

                            Based on my experiences of ordering from Northerner recently - this is to the EU:

                            Orders from Denmark seem to be running properly now - ordered a roll of Phantom Friday evening, dispatched Monday morning. Fair enough.

                            They seem unable or unwilling to send anything from the 'USA' warehouse - cancelled an order for Jaks after a month. Funny thing was that the cancel and refund was dealt with almost instantly, but multiple requests for information about whether they were going to send the Jaks were ignored.

                            I think their main problem is a complete inability to be up front about what they are able to send and what not - funny way to run a business if you ask me.

                              I managed to get them to reply to me one time by asking them serious (like) if they went out of business. I guess that got under their skin. The best way to get a reply out of most sites is to be nice. Although that don't always work and my next step is irritation. Yelling and name calling hardly ever works anywhere. Rants piss me off and most people just ignore that stuff. Fussing works on the phone but in emails and tickets employees just ignore you. In your case I would 1,2,3 whats happened to you. 1. such and such date I ordered x number of cans. 2. such and such date I got an email saying blaa blaa blaa. and note everything that's happened or not happened. the final point would say something like I would really like my snus but can't afford to throw my money away. Please respond by (maybe a week later). If i've not heard from you I will have to go to my bank and do a charge back.

                              See here's the deal. Merchants (in the credit card sense of the word) do NOT like charge backs. Charge backs make their fees go up and if they get too many they could lose their merchant account. At the very least enough charge backs cause the merchants cost of doing business to increase. I know because I have two merchant accounts and charge backs are treated very seriously.

                              With that said, to be taken seriously you must be able to show that you was cooperative and that you document well. The merchant can take issue with your charge back and if they can show certain things you will lose and not get your money back. Take my word, banks will roll their eyes if a person does a charge back and the merchant shows documentation that makes the person look like a jerk. I am on the other side of charge backs as I am fighting to have people's charge backs nulled. I like it when someone does a charge back and has already flew off and cussed me out with threats and the only documentation they supply is "they cheated me".

                              merchants know when to take someone serious if they have presented their case in emails/tickets in a formal manner with docs.

                              The guy that tries to work things out, is nice but professional with communications and has documentation is pretty much impossible to beat on a charge back.
                              Just trying to be helpful. Free advice is normally worth what you paid haha.

                                I just received my package from them. i ordered a can of Marlboro snus (European watehouse , im in Canada), and on the invoice is said it was "refounded". When I ordered it, it was in stock. Anyone else had that happen to them ?
