OK so I went and got gas today after work and I decided to get a can of General since they now carry it at several Chevron stations near me. I asked for $12 in gas plus a can of General and my total bill was $13.40. It seems that General is selling for $1.40 but you don't know about the promotion until after they ring you up. I was happy to get it on the way home for $4.00 a can so this is a real treat. They only had 5 cans of General OP so I bought them all. Hopefully they will get more OP before the promotion ends. This made my day!

Just popped into the local Chevron, and sure enough... They've got General...
The display was marked at $6,99 but it's on special for............. 99 cents!

Just stopped at a Chevron in SF. Was marked as $4.69 + tax. Had the lady scan one and it still came up full price. Do I have to actually buy it to get the discount?

At the Chevron I went to, the digital display listed the full price; but when she rang it up, it rang up as $0.99.Originally posted by Mr. SnuffleupagusJust stopped at a Chevron in SF. The station manager told me that they're going to put up a $0.99 promotion sign by the snus fridge, to avoid confusion and entice customers.Words of Wisdom

General et. al have been around for quite some time, but apparently SM/Northerner worked out a deal with Chevron to carry General at their gas stations with reimbursement during the promotion. Win-win-win (SM-Chevron-Consumer).Originally posted by tattooer601Question...
So General has been in you guys area for 6 months or so huh??
I'm curious to know how long the promotion is expected to last, before it jumps up to MSRP..

I'll buy a can on my way home and see if I get the promo price. If so I'll be buying them all out of OP.

When I met with them a couple months ago and they told me about this, they said the promotion would run for 3 months per location, then back to full retail.Originally posted by CrowGeneral et. al have been around for quite some time, but apparently SM/Northerner worked out a deal with Chevron to carry General at their gas stations with reimbursement during the promotion. I love it! It would be nice to see Ettan los in that fridge but General is a great start. Hopefully, selling snus at gas stations will get more people off smokes and on snus. Most of the smokers I know buy their smokes at a gas station or convenience store.Originally posted by Mr. SnuffleupagusWell I got a can. Cost $5.10 out the door. Nice to finally buy some at a gas station though!
