Should I be worried?

Hi guys. I've been lurking here for a while and ordered from Buysnus based on all the good things I read here. I ordered a portion mix pack and a couple of single cans. Problem is they said it shipped on the 14th of July. I still haven't got it. I emailed Buysnus and got a boiler plate reply of it should take 3-7 days. That was last Wed. I'm really teed off, as throwing away $30 wasn't really my plan.
I was really looking forward to trying out real snus, hoping to get off cigs, as my daughter has asthma and I can't break the nicotine habit. I tried all the normal things, and none worked. American snuff is NOT an option, all the spitting, ewww!

So what do you all say? I realize it's probably not buysnus fault my order disappeared, but.....

Yes, I am ranting a bit, but I don't know if I should complain to them or just write it off.

Tell them nicely that you simply did not receive your order. They should take care of you.

We are very sorry that you still have not received your order. Today Thursday has it gone 13 business days since it was sent. Our experience are that it is very rare that an envelope disappear, if it is delayed it usually depends on the post and if it has been stuck in customs. Sometimes do even the post sort the envelope wrong and this can cause an delay.


We hope your order will arrive any day now."

I am NOT happy. This whole experience is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

A few weeks ago I ordered a vinyl record from one of the biggest American online-vendors (a record that presumably will never go to print in Germany). Though it was in stock, my order-confirmation stated that it would be delivered in 4-6 weeks. The item was shipped the same day. I checked my order-status again, and still it stated an estimated delivery-date in 4-6 weeks. Finally I was very lucky that the record arrived after 3 weeks.

BTW, I also have made several orders from the USA, that arrived within a week, but I guess that was just pure luck.

TBD, your package may be lost, but it also may be stuck in customs or otherwise delayed. The people at Buysnus know quite well how long a package may take in the worst case. They wouldn't tell you to wait a little longer, if there weren't a chance that the package just is delayed.

I have mostly ordered from Buysnus over the past 17 months, almost every single package came within 6 days. But one package, the one time I was completely out, took 15 days. It's the luck of the draw, the vaunted US postal service, the snus gods laughing at me, whatever. But the package finally did come and all was good.

And y'all wonder why I have 80 tins in the freezer. YOU run out sometime, and see just how traumatic the experience is. I vowed never again, darn it. Never again. :?

Hey TBD, welcome to the forums!

A couple of weeks ago I had a 2 week (or maybe a bit longer) wait on my snus from BuySnus.com - eventually the US Postal Service delivered an empty envelope to my door with a stamp on it saying "Received w/o Contents"

I emailed BuySnus.com and they re-sent the order, without emailing me back until several days after I had the new (re-sent) snus delivered.

I'd recommend going to their website and checking your order history - maybe they reactivated the order without telling you. In my case it had the same order number with a -2 after it.

If in another few days nothing has happened, it might be worthwhile to send them another email telling them that you had read from an website that they were held in high regard for taking care of problems like this, and that you're trying to quit smoking - maybe hint a bit at how you're a future regular customer, etc.

But, good luck on stopping smoking - I know several of my friends were unable to quit until they were motivated to quit for their children - so work hard and stop smoking!

If my personal experience is any indication (or the experience of any of a number of people on these boards) the Snus will make quitting almost trivial. I'm really not joking...

FINALLY! Got my envelope today. Almost 4 weeks, I really hope the next one is faster.


The portion mix seems pretty good, form what I read here. 4 cans of Jakobssons, classic and ice fruit, 4 cans of elixyr, power energy and peppermint, 2 cans of Probe whiskey. My freebie was N&J East. I ordered a Mocca pomegranate for fun. Up first is Jakobssons classic.

First of all TBD, I am SO glad it is finally there. I keep checking back each day hoping you finally got it!!

And rant away!! I do believe my friend that you might have broken the Snuson record for longest time to receive snus. Certainly from Buysnus. It is SO outside the norm, that I guarantee you I would have panicked. Know I would have.

But now it's there so just enjoy it. And on a positive note, your next order should be at least a bit quicker, I think your gonna be easy to please from now on if it gets there in less than week, unlike the rest of us that climb the walls when it's been more than 4 days. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Nope! No damage to the package. A little beat up but nothing you wouldn't expect after a trip that long. Only one piece of tape, so it didn't appear to be opened and resealed.
My theory is the mailman was hiding it from me just to tick me off. :lol:

BTW, does anyone LIKE peppermint Elixyr? I have some extra.

Now THAT sounds like the Buysnus I know and love... :wink: I think your previous order just got bopped around the mail system for a while; it's happened to me a few times before when I've ordered other stuff through the mail.
