I tried that last time they did this, orders went throught then got refunded as they don't ship what I ordered to the EU! Try though, never know one may slip through.

I saw that. This is terrible news. I am assuming that Northerner did not have enough sales in the USA to make it worthwhile to keep a warehouse here. It now cost close to $40 to ship 2 rolls of snus here. On top of that, we are supposed to pay taxes. This means that snus is no longer a cheap alternative to smoking. It also means that it will be very easy for our government to ban snus on a whim. I have a feeling we are all witnessing the decline of snus.

Funny thing is - if you log in to Northerner from the EU - it says that all their snus ships from the US warehouse!

That US warehouse has been bad news for Northerner's customer service from day 1. Not because it is in the US, but because all the snus I ever had from there was kept extremely badly and also because ever since Northerner started running 2 warehouses - the stock levels shown on the websites have been consistently wrong leading to people being misinformed about their orders ... and thus the current massive dissatisfaction in Northerner as a company period.

Now it seems as if they're saying that all the US customers will be supplied from Sweden - and all the EU customers will be getting it from the US.

What kind of screwed up company is this?

I see it. Would you announce a price increase?? Below is an order for 10 tins shipped to Illinois $31.44, for 20 tins shipping is $35.37, 30 tins $39.30, 40 tins $43.23....and so on.

I haven't compared orders between buysnus and northerner yet but with northerner charging me the Illinois tax and charging aprox the same as Buysnus for shipping.....I think I already know the results.

They might do well to become a shipping company. Think about how far an American tobacco leaf travels -- to Europe to be made snus, back to the Northerner US warehouse, and finally to Europe again. That's ~18,000 km to Squeezy's lips.

I have no knowledge of Northerner closing a warehouse or anything else for that matter but it would make sense to me that they are closeing the US warehouse since nothing from that warehouse is offered in the US. And it might be possible that the IT people haven't updated the site yet. Give them a day or so.

If the EU customers can still get snus from the US warehouse that will only be untill they sell off the last of the stock in the US warehouse. I can see a reason why it would be this way but its hard for me to explain exactly why they decided to do the change over this way. If I'm right in my assumption the snus users in the EU are getting a chance to stock up on the brands you can't get in the EU normally. This might be your last chance. If thats the case then Northerner does have the EU snusers interests at heart. But who knows wtf is really happening?

Maybe its just another a site problem?

It's apparent to me that the US wharehouse was a complete and utter fail, Something most of us have realized for awhile. It's sad to think of the time and money that was spent to never get the Job done. But I guess once it was apparent that they couldn't make money being the "company that was bringing snus to the US" It was all over but the crying. Remember they already failed and gave up on retail distribution. Once the other companies were just selling willy nilly and taking all their business it wasn't hard to see the writing on the wall. Real bad part for them tho is now their going to try to play the game after putting snus and taxes on the US gubment radar that coupled with CISPA is really gonna be bad for all of us. My suggestion to all is start paying your taxes if your not already......

The US warehouse isn't going anywhere, lol. Retail distribution wasn't a "fail", they made a business decision (and a good one) to turn the retail distribution over to a company that does this everyday, you guys don't know the details of that deal, well...simply because you don't need to. I don't know what's happening with the shipping cost issues, but let's wait and see before the speculation get's out of hand here, lol
