I've watched guys that said they'd NEVER sell snus, pick it up and start doing very well with it. That aspect of this journey has been very satisfying to me. We're nowhere close to where we need to be guys/gals...the smokeless tobacco industry is 3.8Billion, and snus is only 178Million of that....this number include Camel SNSU (purposely misspelled, lol) and the rest is primarily General and our brands. I'm very excited about the potential, because I've talked to many industry analysts who feel that snus will be a full third of the Smokeless category in around 10yrs.

Rick (or anyone else), I'd really like to hear your thoughts on his subject.

I was chatting with the lady that runs a tobacco store and she was worried about the future. She told me that several of her regular customers are already being drug tested for nicotine.

Under the new Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, insurance companies can charge huge premiums for employees that smoke. To prevent these huge premiums some employers are already threatening to fire anyone with nicotine in their system. The test snares snusers and dippers as well as smokers.

    Have you heard of this?

I've heard of it. My shady insurance company was apparently granted an exception from the Affordable Care Act and they still test. The premium is just about $5 a month, but it still should be illegal. Apparently though, it isn't anything new.

$5 a month? Your kidding? I had to drop my wife and kid from my policy because the rate was going from $1100.00 per month to $1400.00 per month for insurance and that is after my employers $500 contribution. She was able to get insurance through her employer but it still costs us about $700.00 per month for insurance. The whole system is a joke!

My insurance is only $70/month. Butttttttt....I'm not really sure it covers much. That's the baseline, and for stuff like hospital indemnity it's a few dollars more.

Talked to Lil Brown yesterday, and they are deciding which brands and styles that they want to carry. I will keep everyone updated on that one.

Allegheny SmokeWorks in Pittsburg, picked up Jaks, and Oden's today. They should have it by next week.

Regardless of whether or not my store is going to stop selling I got a surprise today.

The owner told me he had a surprise for me and I asked what and he told me he got me some General Los.

Let me use coupons he had n I paid for 5 cans of Los that do not expire til November.

I explained to him not to carry these that he needs to only buy per order because it wouldn't sell fast n would expire n dry out before the portions.

He said anytime I want any he will order it for me.

So that was awesome. Next step, check with his distributors and see what other snus they carry.

Been so long since I had General Los, forgot how coarse and rough this feels under the lip unless this is a DRY fresh tin. Like I said it says it expires 11-7-13 (USA Date Code). Is General that coarse?

What's the store? I'm probably his distributor, or at least one of them. I'll work on him to carry other brands.

It's pretty coarse, and SM snus is salty, so it can irritate more than other brands. If you're baking it tight, try easing up on it a bit. I don't have much problem with General, but Grov can be uncomfortable if I pack it too tightly.

Rick, please push Thunder los, Jaks original and Northerner citrus on Lil Brown. Northerner citrus would be a treat!
