    Label on Package

So, I got my envelope today. This is the third one in a row I got with tape on it.

Only this time it wasn't taped like it got ripped accidentally. It was cut across the top and neatly taped shut. No dented cans like last time. And oh yeah my free pen was missing, don't care.

All my snus was accounted for and in great shape.

Then I noticed instead of the sticker on every other package I've received with some type face Swedish and some handwriting declaring snus, this one has a full English declaration for customs. It even warmly invites, "May be opened officially."

The date, weight, and value were all typed out to match my order.

I realize this type of automation may help out with efficiency when packing a lot of orders, but I preferred the partial ambiguity of it being in Swedish and most likely passing under the customs radar.

Guess those days are officially over.

I've got two more small orders coming from other companies. I'm now interested to see how they are labeled.

Sounds like customs inspected the contents.

I had two envelopes like that.

I assumed it was because i ordered an icetool and then an icetool snus box.

I just figured it set something of in the detectors and they had to inspect it. But nothing was harmed or missing so alls good.

Customs inspected my first Buysnus order too. They left a bunch of portions out, which didn't smell too appealing upon opening the hot package either, but thankfully the Lös were still sealed. All content was accounted for so no big deal in the end. Fortunately they left my Snuskaufen package with the Habanas Snus in it alone.

I just noticed the different sticker on my last order; I guess customs was having a hard time reading Buysnus' chicken-scratch. Ironically, even though this new sticker says they can open the package if they want, they actually left this one alone. Every other package for the last five or so orders has been opened...

I have only had two envelopes opened that i can tell.

But then i remember that one can of my onyx had the seal on it broken.

Wonder if customs broke the seal to make sure no contraband was in it.

Doubt half of them even know what the hell swedish snus is.

              Yeah.

The other orders I got from different stores had similar labels.

Swedish Match stuck annoying American style health warnings on all my cans, but had best by dates the farthest out I've ever got. Some were January 09.

The Northerner used an envelope so small I would have never believed the four cans I got would fit in it if i didn't see it.

I thought Northerner shipped snus in boxes...or is that only for larger orders?

                  Larger orders.

When I bought two rolls of MC they sent it in a box with brown paper.

Now I only order WISE from them and it's always in an envelope.

Never had a problem with people opening my packages. Received maybe 20 orders.

Think it has to do with what post office receives it? Or does everything from overseas hit the same PO?
