I was looking for Toque's website and saw this. Where they hacked?
That search thing is a common thing done by fraudsters, I can't remember how they do it exactly but somehow its legal! Saw a programme about it a few months ago.

From what I could gather at the snuffhouse website, Roderick mentioned that they had some disagreements with their processing company. Because of MasterCard, they did not like the idea that tobacco was being bought from a website and problems ensued. Roderick has been trying to find other third party processing outlets to fix this issue but it is mostly MasterCard's doing. He is considering doing only Visa transactions but that would limit the amount of people who could order from him and as of the other day I think he is just selling locally and sending invoices to those who order over there. He is also considering bank transfers or something to the equivalent to online checks last I read but that too would cause too big of a headache for most people. I am sure some of that has to do with the website being down as Skell said.
I know it has pissed him off but it looks like to get toque youll have to go through one of their online distributors like mr snuff and the like.
Glad I placed a large order before all of this happened.

We're back! We have a new and better card processing company "Cardsave" and all is going through, including mastercard, without a hitch.
But, to add misery to misery not only did we get our site terminated for selling tobacco with no notice which stopped customers from buying, we got hacked It still goes to our site and will change back next time Google does a refresh. The B********'s add a code to redirect to sites paying them for click through. The sites think they are getting genuine customers going to their sites when all they are getting is other sites customers and they pay the con men for the number if hits they think they are getting.
We're back up and running and the con men aren't getting the redirect. We found their code and have secured it. If you click on our site it doesn't redirect but goes to our site as normal.

I certainly like the bitcoin concept and it's too bad it has this stigma attached to it. There's even ATMs popping up here in Canada distributing bitcoin tokens.

Due to the anonymity of bitcoin it's a breeding ground for money laundering and therefore catches the attention of the authorities. Legitimate business will want no part of that. I'm in IT and had to take a seminar on detecting suspicious transactions and bitcoin was briefly mentioned.

Bitcoin is digital cash, and comes with all the benefits and problems of cash. I don't think anyone will be laundering money through a snuff company. To make it a valuable proposition, you'd have to literally buy tons of snuff, and then you'd be stuck with tons of snuff. You'd be exchanging something difficult to use for something impossible to use.
Yes, bitcoin is digital cash. A large sum of cash can be laundered, it takes several small transactions. Bitcoin allows a large sum to be laundered with many less transactions.
