    Thank you.

So it is in everyone's best interest to be mum on their hook ups so not to anger the riled profit mongering beasts.

The greater issue is taxes. Hard to blame individuals for rightly trying to obtain the best deal they can for products they purchase. Would anyone not rather spend $2 than $13?

What a shame that political decisions have ramifications on commerce and personal acquisitions.

Glad you are on the board sharing your insight.

I appreciate the info as well, and have deleted references in my posts. I hope others will do the same. Thanks for the heads-up.

        export

        Bakerbarber:

I all actuality, all snus companies want to export. Sweden has 9m people with 19% consumption, and Norway has 5m with about the same.

Secretly, Finland's consumption is almost equal to Norway's, especially due to sales through Haparanda on the border.

Why so slow to infiltrate the American market. With so many tobacco users I would imagine a fraction of them could sustain product placement.

Not being in marketing or sales I always hesitate to criticize. I often wonder even at my own company about the direction and methods employed. I realize being at the other end of the spectrum as I am in purchasing that a great deal of time and thought goes into product debuts.

However with existing products only packaging would need to be modified to agree with American regulations. If however demand necessitated production in the States I could see much more difficulties with time and replicating the product.

Not trying to "stir the pot" but I'm afraid there are some wrong answers in this thread.

Yes, you can get in trouble for buying Cuban products. That means anything. They usually just send you a letter and the product is returned to the vendor with a letter of the same response. Just because you are ordering from a different country than where the product was produced, does not make it legal. I've heard of people getting big fines for cigars (that they did not order from Cuba, but from other countries), but usually they only get big fines with they make HUGE orders. I mean thousands of dollars worth.

              All the same, be careful.

Regardless, I've had my chance to try my snus. I feel it is a very fine product in an elegant can. However I find myself reluctant to spit out a pris or a portion considering the small quantity in each can. I want to make them last. Ultimately I have no desire to have these varieties of snus ever again. I see that despite the exceptional taste and quality I can not justify the cost for such small quantities. At least I have quelled my curiosity. That enough was worth the price.
