And companies that allow people to not get satisfaction by essentially calling their customers liars and demanding that they spend hours wading through old correspondence in order to resolve a problem that was quite obviously created by the company are absolutely not to be trusted by ANYONE.

I was conned before by a representative here on SnusOn in to committing more of my very precious time proving to them that I had received goods that were unfit for purpose. This representative promptly disappeared just after it became apparent that I wouldn't get any kind of resolution from Northerner yet again.

I cannot watch people saying that this company is reputable ... they are not ... a reputable company provides a service ... and when it goes wrong, they make good on the mistakes. Northerner have never been anything other than obstructive in making good on the last big order I placed with them ... and I will not stop saying that until they actually refund me or send me the 3 rolls of General Extra Strong and 1 roll of Nick & Johnny portions I had to put in the bin.

They did it to me ... they can do it to you ... because as far as I'm concerned - that's the kind of company Northerner are.

While I applaude Northerner's improvements.......and do see brighter days ahead........for me personally.......all will not be well until they have set things right with my brother Squeezy

And for the record........PP is doing all he can to see that that matter is resolved once and for all.

Northerner if you are listening.........we are pulling for you.....but one of our own is still hurting.......please help him.........

I think this is it for the apple. I don't see blueberry.

I remember some other posts talking about Northerner and I said on them my experience, I never had a problem with them. I´m relatively new to snus, a little more than a year, but never had a problem. A couple of times they sent me the wrong stuff. It was with Jackobssons extra strong, once they sent me classic portions instead of classic strong, and another time it was wintergreen instead of classic strong, both times, they only asked me to send a picture of it and they refund me the money for that allowing me to keep the wrong snus. Maybe the problems with them were before I started to use their service, but until now I never had a problem.

            Burned Apple is Oden's 29.
Unfortunately Blueberry is not available outside or Russia.....you could send GN a nice message asking for him to release it to us......but all attempts have failed so far

Thanks very much. For me that is too much nicotine. GN is branching out into the extreme varietals, and while that is fine, I wish he'd throw me a bone.

Even though oden's is listed at 22mg/g i never found it any stronger than a regular 8mg/g. I consider thunder to be the strongest in terms of being able to "feel" the nicotine. I think it's because oden's portions are drier than thunder. Sometimes the most frustrating part of using odens is trying to get the flavor to start appearing. I'm hoping when i get around to order the ginger/lime/burned apple/ other varieties, they will be more moist than regular odens extreme.

All I have to say is it's good Northerner is shaping up, but the title of this thread is misleading. They are not always cheaper as the op has said and has been proven in this thread. To me it does seem like a bit of advertisement and false at that.

No its not advertising. I was informing the members that I have seen some major improvement in Northerners pricing and performance the last 6 or so months.

I was thinking about changing the title last night mate. Just didn't get around to it. Shipping time is the same as buysnus and seeing from the responses members are paying at a different rate. Whether its their location or points or whatever that causes a different rate. Also I'm pretty much referring to USA sales. IDK about the UK.

I'll fix it right now. thanks for the reminder

edit. title fixed, its a bit more accurate now

had to edit my first post a bit as well. I can't speak for the members in the UK. But it seems that northerner is improving for them as well.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

PP thanks for the offer ... although it's not your job to do so by any stretch of the imagination, I am very grateful for it.

When I get a spare minute I will see if I can dig out the old order number and ticket refs ... but as I said in my previous email it's just not worth my while to spend the amount of time and effort trying to provide backup to my claims that Northerner support were asking for before. My time would serve me better by working, or spending it raising my kids and looking after my family. Frankly I don't believe that you, dear PP, should be spending your precious time on this issue either, because if Northerner really wanted to have sorted my issue out, they have been given ample opportunity already.

I really think that they either genuinely believe I am lying, or that they don't want to admit that they sent out old dried up snus and pay a refund because I'm in the EU and at the time they had no valid competition. Whatever the reason ... that is why I don't trust them and I don't think anyone else should.

I also don't think that anyone except Northerner employees should have to spend any more time on my case to get it resolved! It's just not right that someone who moderates a neutral forum should be doing their dirty work for them when the result of a positive outcome would be to the benefit of their company. If they don't like what I'm saying then they should contact me and sort it out quickly and painlessly.

PS: Please see below for how the problem has been rectified by Northerner.

Just a quick heads up to everyone that someone called Johanna from Northerner had actually tried to contact me via PM here on December 18th but I missed the message.

She has been very helpful indeed and I expect a full resolution to my problem which I am delighted with.

                          Hi John,

We're very sorry to read that your so disappointed with the service you've received from us in the past. The email sent from myself earlier in December wasn't a message in order for to try to get you to stop posting your views online, simply a message in order to try to help resolve your problems you've had with us. Northerner have for the past months been changing a few employees around and we have therefore unfortunately noticed a few unresolved problems with a small amount of our customers, something that I personally would like to rectify in order to improve the image of Northerner and the service we offer. I just noticed you now have got back to my email, I'll look into this asap and hopefully be able to get this case sorted.
Once again I do apologise if message came across as I was trying to stop you from posting your views.

                          Cheers,

                          Jo

It was another "we've read your problems with our company and would like you to stop talking about it in public ... ahem ... I mean deal with your problem" kind of email.

I've had this kind of email from Northerner before about my particular issues with them ... and on those occasions I was asked for a lot of information about the order and problems with ticket references etc. and then got ignored again when it was passed up the chain of command.

I have just spent another chunk of my time typing out the same grievances and looking up old reference numbers etc. - I hope Johanna can come up trumps - but my common sense tells me I have just wasted my own time once again and I am listening out for tumbleweeds rolling by.

                            Wow! That was fast.

Thanks Johanna ... I do realise that my problems are not the fault of any one member of Northerner staff and I have never made this personal. I apologise for missing your PM here back in December and appreciate your attempts to help.

Sounds like it may end happily after all ... I've just been offered a resolution which I am happy with.

If the deal goes through then ...

                                1) You can all have the squeezyjohn seal of approval to shop at Northerner and shout about how amazing they are here.

                                2) You can post about Northerner without having to hear the same old story every time "... long, long ago, when I was a young man ... the snus took 6 weeks to come ... all dried up ... nobody took any notice of me ...." - I will solemnly promise that this was the last time.

Just don't expect me to join in straight away ... it's taken a year and a quarter to get this far ... it might take another year or so for it to sink in fully.

                                :ambivalence:
