At the beginning of this month, was the first time I'd ordered from Northerner in ages. I just opened my mail, and found a bill from UPS for $8.00, for Customs Duties and Brokerage charges for my last order. It only lists two cans of Old Ving. Sure hope a bill for the other 20 cans isn't on the way. Don't know if this is something new, but I've never seen this when ordering from elsewhere.

Having said that - my last order to Northerner for 3 cans of Jakobssons Dynamite and 2 cans of dip got to me in the UK within about 2 weeks with no errors or out of date cans. But I'm not about to start singing Hallelujah.
Just touching on northerner though, I will admit i was the instigator in getting members here riled up about northerner. What they have done to some of us in the past really is not something i think I can ever look past, but I am always willing to give a second chance, which is really how most people describe the american dream (especially when they get into trouble.) But people still bought ipads when working conditions were revealed and even more after the CEO of apple went there and basically said "this sucks, see ya." People don't hold a grudge against other companies with similar stories either. Noone remains untrustworthy to germany because of all that hitler stuff. With all that in mind why can't I give northerner another chance? If it was buysnus = northerner with slightly higher prices i would remain loyal, but northerner has what i want and what buysnus can't provide. Unless that changes by the time i place another order then northerner will get another shot at my business. And it won't take one ontime no missing cans order for them to gain my loyalty back. It will be a long road. But I'll be willing to atleast give them a shot.

Hmmm. Like others have said I haven't used Northerner for years but back in the day (before PACT) I swore by them. I've used another site exclusively since then but I'll have to give it another look. I just got an order in so it will be months, but alas I will give them another shot. Their selection was always the best I've seen but the customer service from their competitor has been great. That being said, I never really had a problem with Northerner's CS. In fact, there was one time they sent me a roll of something I didn't order. They followed it up with the proper roll and allowed me to keep the other one free of charge. I was blown away.
PACT got me to switch, but I haven't even looked anywhere else as I've been happy and loyal. I would like a larger selection though...we'll see.

I know where you're coming from PP ... but by every rule I've ever known in my life they still owe me over $200 in either refunds or snus that is in a condition fit for human consumption.
If time is money, I have wasted more time trying to get satisfaction from their so-called support system than the snus is actually worth. And companies that allow people to not get satisfaction by essentially calling their customers liars and demanding that they spend hours wading through old correspondence in order to resolve a problem that was quite obviously created by the company are absolutely not to be trusted by ANYONE.
I was conned before by a representative here on SnusOn in to committing more of my very precious time proving to them that I had received goods that were unfit for purpose. This representative promptly disappeared just after it became apparent that I wouldn't get any kind of resolution from Northerner yet again.
I cannot watch people saying that this company is reputable ... they are not ... a reputable company provides a service ... and when it goes wrong, they make good on the mistakes. Northerner have never been anything other than obstructive in making good on the last big order I placed with them ... and I will not stop saying that until they actually refund me or send me the 3 rolls of General Extra Strong and 1 roll of Nick & Johnny portions I had to put in the bin.
They did it to me ... they can do it to you ... because as far as I'm concerned - that's the kind of company Northerner are.
PS: Please scroll down the thread to read other posts by myself which detail how Northerner have rectified the situation mainly as a response to this thread itself and the generous help of Premium Parrots.

That happened around PACT, that rep was with northerner for a very short time and his actions [or inactions] contributed to his leaving northern. Seems to me that your issue kinda fell thu the cracks. If you didn't continue to pursue the issue with another rep from northerner then they didn't have a clue it wasn't already taken care of. I'll work to see if that can be fixed for you. PM me an order numbers and the contact info. Give me a few days to follow thru for you. Once its brought up to the people in charge I think you will be happy. I can't guarantee it. But I will try for you.

OK again, this thread is about how northerner is improving by way of pricing and customer service etc. If you have had a problem with them IN THE PAST I'm sure you have already posted that info on the site, if not then please start another thread. If you already posted your problem in another thread you may revisit your complaint in your original thread and bump it if you want. We aren't rehashing old problems here. Take it to the old thread please.

HA the laws/regulations/approvals or whatever must be changing almost day to day. A few months ago I noticed that northerner wasn't allowed to ship to Georgia.....and boy was I bummed. Yesterday I placed an order and I noticed that they can now ship to Georgia. Tho I haven't moved to GA yet I did have a concern for the future. Now I'm not so concerned. The snus is made from tobacco from Cuba therefore those of us in the USA are forbidden from purchasing them. The cigars that northerner have are not from Cuba, therefore we can buy them
If you want to buy the cigars northerner has advertised I'm sure you can find them somewhere in the USA, as they are prohibited. If you want the real thing....think....black/grey market.
A bit of history.....When the 2 brands of snus made from Cuban tobacco were first introduced we could all buy it. Then the government found out and pressured the snus vendors not to sell it to the USA. ;(
But you can still get that as well.
