The part about the food coloring was a bit tongue and cheek.............but the beer does seem to have that "cut with rice" indicative of too many American beers.

No idea where you across the pond got it but it's an Afrikaans term, it's shortened brother or 'bru' as thy say it, then the rather nasty lot who give SA a bad name got hold of it and said brah.
