I have had no issues with Northerner lately, and now that they have opened the US warehouse again my shipping will be cut in half.
Wish I had your experiences with them but that being said Northerner was very polite and apologized for the 5 day delay so I will give then another try. They deserve a second chance.
didn't the east coast get dumped on with snow a week or so ago? Like 4 feet worth?
Perhaps, living in Florida, I forget it snows and gets really cold in other parts of the country :cold: . 99% of the time its beach weather here in Florida. :afro:
However, just checking the Northerner site, it seems they are now limiting what Americans can order. I can't order Skruf or Jakobsson's melon like I have in the past. Looks like I won't be using them anymore.
To my mind - in the current climate of hostility towards tobacco and specifically sweet, child-friendly flavours - it was always going to end that way for Jakobssons. And to some extent I agree with the FDA on this one ... tobacco is historically a strong acquired taste, like whisky and espresso - it's not for kids - and given that it is addictive and should be consumed in moderation (also like whisky and espresso) - creating new brands that taste of strawberry, sweet mint and melon was very irresponsible.
To my knowledge, it was never sold over the counter in the U.S. because the FDA hadn't approved it. It was only purchased online. I hate the FDA. I'm an adult, why can't I purchase whatever the hell I want online???

I disagree wholeheartedly. I'm an adult, and I LOVE the melon flavor. As do many adults that I know.
I know there's a market for this kind of thing and I know some adults like it (although I reckon that if you're going to put tobacco in your mouth you need to man up a bit and realise that it might taste of tobacco ;-) ... but surely Jakobsson's knew the kind of things that were happening with the FDA with the threat to traditional menthol and clove cigarettes and the such like, hell I could see it coming and I'm not in the tobacco business! I think they were very naïve to even put it forward for consideration!
I'm not saying I agree with the stance the authorities are unfairly treating snus as something as dangerous as cigarettes - it's clear from all the evidence that it's far safer and should be treated as such ... but I do agree with measures to stop all tobacco appealing to minors.

Where does that end? Just today, I pulled a bottle of salted caramel vodka out of a box. I got it for my daughter to make something for Thanksgiving, but we didn't end up using it. It sure as shit tastes like salted caramel though. My mother asked me about a liqueur I bought her yeeeeaaaars ago. It was in the fridge. I poured some out to taste, and it's just fine. The chocolate liqueur is as delicious as it ever was. That's not even getting into the cream sherry, Carolans Irish cream, and Chambord... Should all of those be banished also? Some don't have an especially long historic use either...
Well - personally I think all booze should taste like my cranky old home-made stuff ... that would certainly put kids off!!
I think the problem lies with crazy modern pampered tastebuds myself .... and all the ladies drinks you mention! Tobacco should taste like a face full of mud and booze should taste like something you'd clean the sink with!!
