I got an email from customer service they said I live in a remote area so there is a surcharge. I changed the shipping address to a relative downtown did another mock order 115.00 for two rolls of Oden's original 65.00 shipping WOW!!!

DAMN. You must be pretty far out. I live in middle of the sticks and I've never got a surcharge like that from them.


Just did my own mock order with 2 rolls. $18 for standard but $93!!!!!!! for the ups. Even when I last did orders and used ups I Don't remember it being that high. No more $30 shipping for this guy

They said the 31.00 charge that used to be the shipping rate that they were getting another surcharge by ups and losing money. I only live 4 miles from city limits so I gave them a relatives address still 65.00. A city with between 15 and 20,000 population. If the other on line shops do the same it looks like only General and dip for me.

Yeah its BS. $68 and change for less than 4 rolls. Went to Buy snus and ordered the same for $35 shipping. Go figure. Paid a little more for the snus but that's OK.

Hello from me, Moe Unz, Mr. Norwester!

When we moved to the new website, we had the functional capacity to change from the standard UPS Shipping Card to UPS Real-Time Shipping.

To our delight, this translated into no increases and even drops in shipping costs at certain weight levels for over 97% of our customers...sometimes significant. Multiple rolls were shipping for less than $35 to some!

Some of the orders I reviewed when I was sober had shipping and pre-paid duty amounts for 8+ rolls for less than what UPS charged you for those 11 cans.

The downside to UPS real-time shipping is something UPS calls "outlying areas". The shipping charges for these customers would fluctuate as high as those you indicated.

I cannot explain what makes an address an outlying area for UPS. They are not necessarily out in the desert somewhere...in fact, shipping charges have gone down to some of what I think would be remote areas.

Unfortunately, for a little less than 3% of our customers, the switch to UPS real-time has resulted in higher shipping costs than in the past.

If UPS reclassifies an outlying area...(to inlying?), they drop; at least according to 2 customers who tried again a month later.

Why, I do not know either. Maybe someone opened up a UPS Store or something. In fact, I have seen orders shipped to UPS Stores which had lower shipping costs than prior.

I can not explain any of this except to say our overall shipping costs have dropped dramatically which means our customers pay less...except for the <3%.

You have been a wonderful customer and friend to us since the very beginning. This is a cruel twist of fate and I am terribly sorry UPS has classified your delivery address as outlying.

You can try changing your shipping address to your work address or somewhere else convenient and see if that helps. It has for others.

If not, I am very sorry!! It is not the fault of me, Moe Unz....unless you are a customer whose shipping rates fell because of UPS real-time. In that case, I will take the credit.

Yeah ,i remember those issues with shipping,i just have brothers address,and it worked better.I then,like a,4newer company...snus24.com,and between their crazy lower prices,and shipping cody,i made out crazy...I think it was like 38-39 bucks shipping on 14 rolls.and I'm doing again,cause they have a crazy sale of something like 24 percent of for 24 days in january,and it's on a lot of amazing snus that some I never saw before or could. Get to U.S....so stoked man,..so try those folks for,cheap shipping costs

I haven't ordered with snus24 yet. I've talked to the Daniel guy that runs the shop and he said they will ship Swedish post if I wanted but there isn't a way to know the cost.

BUT I did just do a mock order on snus24 and snuscentral and for one roll snus24s shipping was $5 cheaper and with 2 rolls it was like $15 cheaper, that's choosing ups from both sites.

i might have to try snus24 here one day
