I started to order snus to Australia this year (2016).
Here is my experiences of Australian customs (and post) so far:
1) test order from Snusexpress 1 can of mini portion: this came straight to mailbox, no taxes
2) 5 * Normal portion from Snusexpress: Taxes etc: 90.86 AUD. After payment parcel delivered.
3) 2 * Normal portion from Snuscentral: Taxes etc: 36.94 AUD. After payment parcel delivered.
4) 2 * Mini portion snus. Taxes: 13.76AUD. After payment parcel never came. Customs said they have released it and Australian post said there is nothing they can do because there is no tracking number. In normal postages snus-companies does not provide international tracking number.
5) 2 * Strong mini portion snus (Thunder frosted). Taxes: 15.97 AUD. After payment parcel delivered.
6) 1 * Normal portion: this came straight to mailbox, no taxes
Conclusions: Looks like 1 can might come straight through. Mini portion taxes are cheaper because they are so light (tax is 671.68AUD/kg). Best option might be to order strong mini portion (Snus-companies should offer more strong mini portions!!!). Also it is possible that you lose your delivery and there is nothing you can do about it (I have contacted both customs and Australian post of the lost parcel but no help).
