    Shipping to Michigan

    Hi everyone,

I'm moving to Michigan in a few months so I'm wondering, is it legal to have snus sent over there (using traditional online snus webshops such as SnusCentral?

For those of you who do this, i'd be greateful if you could share your experience

Any online vendor that is located in another country can sell you tobacco products. Even if Michigan has a state law against it...you can buy it, they can ship it legally to you. If Michigan is one of the couple of restricted states then any US vendors can't sell and ship to you.

I remember when you first became a member and was trying to get snus to Mexico. I know it took some time for shipping. In Michigan it will be a breeze to get snus online.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

SnusCentral to Michigan shouldn't be much different than here in Illinois. Three days shipped from Sweden, never a problem.

I guess I didn't frame my question properly, because what you mention is exactly what I'm trying yo find out, is Michigan one of the restricted states? I remember seeing that list (I think in SnusCentral) but I couldn't find it again.

And yes, after being a snus user in Mexico, getting my hands on snus in Michigan should be a breeze. I actually ran out of snus (got tired of lost snus shipments) and started vaping, but I'm eager to use my beloved swedish product once again

          Thank you for replying guys!

There is a letter at Michigan.gov from the Department of the Treasury that addresses the PACT Act. I would share it but I can't post links for some reason.

I would assume that, if they address the PACT Act, it is legal to buy in Michigan. I have a cousin in Lansing who orders from SnusCENTRAL all the time and hasn't had any issues.

Try placing an order with Northerner.......I think they have all the restricted state and won't ship to them. I remember Whalen having all kinds of trouble getting snus in Maryland because they were restricted and N would not ship there

                Found this

                Shipping/Delivery Ban

Four states’ (Arkansas, Connecticut, Maryland and New York) laws banned the shipping/delivery of cigarettes directly to consumers.

That says "cigarettes", but I wonder if they use "cigarettes" as an all encompassing term to cover various types/forms of tobacco products?

Cigarettes are always going to be the most regulated form of tobacco. Thus a state that has not banned or restricted internet/mail order sales of cigarettes will not have done so for smokeless tobacco. Furthermore, I could find no restrictions on smokeless tobacco for Michigan. The closest I found was that tobacco distributors must only distribute to registered licensed merchants for resale.

And for what it is worth, The American Lung Association gave Michigan an F grade on its overall tobacco policy.

I think our brother should be just fine ordering snus

Maryland prohibits domestic shipments so any USA based affiliates will not ship. But international direct shipments are no problem. I cannot remember what the arrangement was, Northerner having a Pennsylvania outlet prohibited shipment.
Pain in the ass, and after all these years being tobacco oppressed, now the EU rules messing up snuff. WE need a tobacco party revolt!

I just had a outbound snuff trade to Canada confiscated as a non mailable item.

Whalen, there is a way to ship to Canada where the shipment will not get tagged. I've done it hundreds of times and not a single shipment got tagged.....and its legal.
