northerners new overpriced rip off

I am only an occasional poster here but long time lurker and i already emailed the northerner direct about this but just wanted to post this out of frustration and bring to light the northerners blatant scalping
Anyway heres the story.
I went to the northerner site today because woohoo they have SNUS X back in stock although now called CHEW X
At first i was annoyed they had put the price up again actually quite abit up since they last offered it then realised they are actually only selling the 300 gram smaller bags that used to be about 25 euro's on the site for well over double the price at 68 euro remember thats the price ex vat and minus the shipping price. The old 500 gram bags only cost around 35-45 euro.
the northerner should take note snusline have just added CHEW X to the site as well and its the 500g larger bag yup its still abit over priced at 68 euro but thats without vat and shipping included

you should be ashamed of your tactics

well i got a response from the northerner today

"Thank you for your email.
We do not manufacture the products, we only sell them. The pricing is therefore out of our control, I'm afraid. It is the manufacturer that makes the decisions about reducing the weights and increasing prices. I belive that you are referring to the old product Snusx, which has a different manufacturing process than Chewx, hence the increased price for this product
If there is anything else we can do for you please don't hesitate to contact us again.

so the price quoted on the web site is accurate for the northerners version of Chewx which is 300 grams down from 500 grams and nearly 3 times the price if i was them i would contact V2 coz they are getting stiffed if other stores can sell it alot cheaper and in bigger quantities Also i didnt know this new fangled chew is harder to produce than snus hence the massive price hike unless the northerners chew is extra special in some way

so anyone like me in the EU who loves to flavour their own in bulk forget the northerner and shop at snusline instead for the original 500 grams Chew X at a lower price though maybe just not as special

SnusX and ChewX is two completely different products. Snusline does not offer ChewX, they only offer SnusX. So, the two that you are comparing prices with are not the same product.
The reason why ChewX is more expensive is because the process of making it is more expensive, the bags are also made by another material than the snusbags that also raise the price of the product. As our customer support wrote in their e-mail, it is the manufacture that set the prices and we sell the products. Hopefully, in the future when more chew bags are being produced, there will be lower costs in making it.
We at the Northerner follow all laws and regulations, and therefore we only offer ChewX to our EU customers since SnusX is not legal to sell to EU countries.

i cannot say i'm convinced that the new "chew process" warrants a doubling of price and 40% reduction in product but as you say thats out of the northerners control so a pointless debate to have with the northerner and V2 don't visit these boards
This is more of a little update on my search for chewX really snus,de online shop now offer the same chew X 300 gram product as the northerner and theirs is only €59.90 not €68.40
i know its not as good as the original snus X price but its still an improvment in the right direction
