Buysnus representation?

I've only recently noticed that, in my time here, there have been several reps from snus manufacturers/distributors who post every once in a while.......Northerner, V2, Gotlands, Getsnus, etc.

I don't recall ever seeing anyone from Buysnus post here, though. :? I find that a little strange, seeing as how they are a popular distributor (deservedly so) and they surely know of this forum. Any Buysnus reps out there? If so, don't be shy! I'm sure everyone would agree that it's always nice to hear the latest news from the inside. :wink:

They should post considering how many people on this board rave about them. I think it would be a good business practice on their part.

They should definitely let their presence be known. I've bought from them once so far and had a great experience, and gotten their permission to use some of their Snus can pics for my blog so I know how great they are. But I bet that a lot of people, especially new customers would feel even better about buying from them if they had a presence here.

I mean they are great and I love em but sooo many people on here either talk good or horrible about them

I have a feeling that some of those talking bad about them are abusing them for replacements. (sorry, had to be said)

I see Gotlands and others on here because they keep us up to date on new products.

Buysnus emails us about new products, which is fine for me.

Getsnus posted on here because they were new and noticed a lot of American snus users hating to have to order overseas.

IMHO Northerner showed up to try to get more customers back and change the impression people originally had of their customer services. ( I recall reading a lot of people saying they emailed them and never heard anything from them when i first joined these forums )

Also, I feel Toque kinda came on here to steer folks toward another product on a forum not reserved for nasal snuff which i feel was kinda wrong.

I remember the toque guy talking about introducing snus while bringing up their new snuff products, ive yet to see them introduce a snus. ( also saw rodderick post on snuffhouse.org about how people on here talked about how hard it was to quit smoking with snus and that maybe nasal snuff was a better way to quit smoking. ) Sorry but its true.

For buysnus, it seems they are kinda in snus limbo, they are a great company, offer great roll deals and offer supurb customer service.

Doesnt bother me that they dont jump in here just ot hear people either complain or boast looking for free snus.

Great obserations and well said Grim. I have to agree with almost every statement Grim made in the last post. Most appears to be true. However, I welcome and encourage all suppliers to post on this forum.

As you note, this forum isn't specifically reserved for nasal snuff, but surely it can be discussed as a significant aspect of the whole "harm-reduction" concept. Maybe the administrators could set up a separate category for snuff, so that those who aren't interested in the subject can bypass it entirely.

Marketing aside, the fact is that a significant number of people turn to snus and/or snuff in an attempt to quit smoking. While the numbers and percentages can be disputed, snuff certainly seems to be helpful to many in their attempt to stop smoking, and both snus and snuff fill a niche demand for those who wish to use nicotine in a tobacco-based form, rather than a pharmaceutical product.

To the extent that a snuff manufacturer would participate solely for the purpose of marketing their product, I would oppose that. However, I see nothing wrong with sharing information which might potentially be of interest to a related audience.

I disagree about having a snuff category here. There is already a snuff forum for that purpose. I love snus, and I just don't want to see this forum get watered down with too many other types of nicotine delivery.

You won't find a single smokeless-tobacco-forum that stays dedicated to one single type. It's just like pipe-smokers' forums always will have a cigarette-subforum, sooner or later.

I would prefer though, that there's only one subforum for all other forms of tobacco, besides snus, not only nasal snuff, but also chewing tobacco, dip, dissolvable tobacco-bits, electric cigarettes (or however they're called) and even smoked tobacco (etc.?). This forum would still be a snus-users-forum, but answer questions for those, who are curious to try other products. This way, I also don't think we'd atract any new members, who are not primarily interested in snus.

Yeah, I know a German former solely-snus-forum, that opened an "all other tobacco"-subforum a year ago, which only got a few threads, and still nearly 100% is a snus-forum. I guess this could work.

Honestly, I'm pretty happy with the way things are setup now. There aren't too many OT posts that the snus centric theme is diminished. I think having too many sub-forums tends to fracture the community, and makes it easy to miss good information. It's kind of like going to the pub with your friends... Would you want to change rooms every time the topic of conversation shifted? Some of your friends might be in the video game room, while others are on the other side of the pub discussing politics. I might be sitting at a table by myself wanting to talk about cats :^D

We're a small enough community that I think most topics can fit into a few groups :^)

True, but I find myself using the "Search New Posts" feature almost exclusively, rather than going through each of the categories. The non-snus posts there are, the more I have to look through to find snus related posts. I like this being a snus forum, but this is one of the better internet communities I've encountered, and I can see why some would want to talk about other stuff here...

I just see no need for a snuff/other tobacco products category

I use copenahgen and redman and i would love to answer anyones questions on dip tobacco anytime.

But i use this forum for snus and snus only.

I think its great the people we have on here and the info they provide.

although i do not post as often as I use to i still read new users posts and love their take on what they think.

I just do not believe this forum should have another form of tobacco on it for the simple reason its a snus forum.

Why did you guys come here?

Was it for American Dip? ( of course not, there is a forum for that)

Was it for nasal snuff ( nah, there is also a forum for that)

How about cigs??? ( no, this forum is to help those who smoke get away from it, or at least find a substitute to quit, and if not thats fine, we welcome all tobacco users who enjoy snus)

This is the best forum ive been a part of and i love all of you guys who post on here.

Everyone is informative in their posts or just creates a great read.

So i am thankful for all this forum offers and appreciate everyone who is a part of it.

I just do not want this to become a General Tobacco forum because it is not.
