    Prices

Just had my snus from a friend who has just come back from Sweden.
A log (10 cans) of General lossnus cost 370 Swedish Crowns!! from the airport in Stockholm!!!
The reciept shows 25% was tax?
    Buysnus are actually cheaper!!!!!!!!!

    Bought at the airport?
If so, like Zero stated; it's an inter-EU-state flight so taxes must be levied.

      Yep, her ticked says "Euro-traveller".
So this is "The Street" price for a log of loose then?

        370 SEK???

That means circa 40 Euros or 50 US-$. It's overall an acceptable price for european customers, but I though, snus was a little cheaper in Sweden.

I guess, it's mostly even fresher, if you buy it at the internetshops instead of a small swedish tobacco-store.

        Cheers!

The portions (she got me too) only have a month and a half left on the best before date, and they have been at room temp for a couple of days but taste really good!!
I have got stuff in the fridge from buysnus that is in date up till the end of July???????????
Buysnus must be shifting some product, I think 8)

Probably more than street price... third post, dude :!:

Airports charge excessive prices. I mean, have you ever bought a sandwich at one?

              ^^ True that.
That friend of yours should've bought the snus in a back-alley thrift shop.
              Same freshness, less markup.

I know, I know. I didn't have time to tell her a story. She was basically, on the runay when we rang her to ask the favour.
Never mind, next time I shall be in the fabled land, and able to select my own snus from a frosted cribb.....

To be fair, and again as testament to the great nordic honesty, I think that the prices on buysnus, etc, are basically the same price you'd pay in a normal store in sweden - plus the cost of postage, of course. Due to the taxation situation, you're certainly not going to save by buying online and it's not in the swedish character to charge more just because it's coming from a web shop. And since they're buying in quantity, factory direct, it's always really fresh - not been sat on a shelf in a shop for however long time. It's got to get shipped to a shop too, most likely by ground in a vehicle which isn't refrigerated, so the freshness at a swedish shop really can't get much better than a fresh roll from the factory after a short jaunt through the post. Think we've got a pretty fair deal going with this online racket, really.

I still think "an airport is an airport" regardless of the fine nordic honesty outside the city's perimeter.
Anyways, me, personally, I'm not complaining.

Besides, I would've had the same thought pattern:
                    Friend->Sweden(snus minus S&H)->Friend plus snus->UK->Me (yumyum)

Yeah, I meant that out of context of an airport, of course  Making the argument that if one managed to dodge the universally high prices of the airport to get snus at a "normal" snus dispensing shop in everyday sweden that you'd probably pay the same price as is offered on places like buysnus.com.

Zero knows about the panic I had (with a slow order)when I found out about her trip.
It was a bit of a blind panic trying to get hold of her, and ask the favour.
BTW, just tried an Ettan large portion, then an Onyx.
Both verry nice, the Ettan had a lovely soft tobacco flavour, even though when the can was first opened it smelled of whiskey??, Nicotine was very good too. The Onyx was the same as normal General, exept moister and slightly more nicotine, a fine product though, and very smartly displayed.
