What's wrong with Northerner???

    EsotericPC, I would wait till Saturday, and if it is still not there, e-mail Northerner. Unfortunately, all deliveries from Sweden seem to be taking longer these past few months. On both my orders from Buysnus AND Northerner. Between 10 - 12 days, which is 4 - 6 days longer then they used to.

    But after 2 weeks, there would seem to be a problem. Northerner has been good in the past about taking care of these types of issues.

      Thank you Sage. A voice of reason definitely makes me feel a bit better. We all know waiting for snus is exciting enough in itself, especially if you are just about out! :lol:

        Again, try to work towards having enough on hand when you order so it makes no real difference how long you wait. My number is about 20 cans. I too have an order coming, and it has an icetool and los so I am really excited to get it. But I won't run out even f it takes three weeks. Does make the waiting a teensy bit easier.


        But.....if not here by Saturday, 2 weeks??? Pop an e-mail off to Northerner.

          Hi,

          First post here, so bear with me. I ordered a total of ten cans from northern, the package arrived today, with two of the cans missing. The delivery docket showed the two missing cans as void also. However, looking at my order on the website shows that I have been charged for the cans, including tax and VAT, but the items show canceled on my order details, assumedly from them going out of stock or not being available. I emailed northern to try and get this sorted, but as yet have had no reply. My questions therefore are has this happened to others, and if so, did they sort it our for you?

            First, welcome to Snuson bellmr.

            And yes, issues like that happen occasionally, and Northerner (As well as Buysnus) has ALWAYS taken care of it. I have zero doubts it will be sorted for you. a gentleman from Northerner also reads and occasionally posts here.

                Hi all. Short time lurker - first time poster.

                I know this is a "complaint" thread, but as a first time buyer, the responses at least give me a little hope.

                As a first time buyer from Northerner, I was really getting worried. 10 days now, and no snus. I expected delay, but after 9 days I began to wonder. I've ordered from a couple of places that ship General products from here in the states, and no problems - 5 days max. (I live in B.F.E. Missouri, so I'm used to shipping being slow... :lol: )

                Anyway reading this, and the other threads concerning slow shipments from Sweden, at least I have the hope that the shipping methods they use are just that - SLOW. So at least I may still get my order. I just hope that the snus hasn't reached the expiration dates by then...
                Darnit - you just don't get between a junkie and his fix!

                  Northener does do a good job ( as does buysnus and getsnus )

                    it didn't used to be like this. I have been ordering from both Buysnus and Northerner for 2+ years. And up until a few months ago, never waited more than 6 days for every order except one, and that was a unique situation. But starting a few months ago, something changed and orders are taking often twice as long, or worse. i don't know what is changed, I suspect that something is up at customs. Perhaps folks running new regime decided they wanted to be more careful. but regardless, there has been a consistent slow down of all orders coming from Sweden.


                    I suspect this may be a reason why Northerner is now shipping snus from the states. I would expect anything ordered that way would get to me within 3 days. But like Getsnus, what Northerner shps from the US I generally don't use.


                    But.....don't overstress. Your snus wll get here. have been doing this for 2 years, I am always right, others can tell you it's true!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

                        I went to my mailbox and it was there!!!!!!

                        Wahooo!!!

                        Everything was good, but the package looked beat to hell and back (but not the fault of Northerner).

                        It seemed like this order was just destined to be a pain in the ass all around. I checked my snus and all was great, except the Pall Mall. I ordered a can of original portions to try out. I was very excited until I checked the expiration date...

                        Now I know the date format is different than the USA but it read 31032009!!!! :shock: That means the snus expired on 3/31/09, almost a month before they sent it (4/25/09)! The other cans had awesome dates, well in the future. I have since contacted Northerner to ask them about getting one that has not expired. From what I have read, they guarantee fresh snus, so it should not be a problem.

                        Don't get me wrong, I generally wouldn't worry about the dates but this snus has been out of refrigeration for over 10 days. Poor can never had a chance lol!

                        Thank you Sage and everyone for helping calm my worries.

                            Understand, I have just been doing this for so long, been here for so long, I learned long ago the value of patience. I have been watching both Buysnus and Northerner take care of not only myself, but so many, many others as well. It's not like the system is gonna suddenly break. But it does seem to jump through more hoops these days.

                            I also have an order coming, shipped somewhere between last Friday and Monday. I *hope* I get it tomorrow, but it will be here when it is.

                            I wouldn't stress the old can. Even with the long shipping. I have had a number of older cans and never really noticed any real difference.

                            And bellmr, I am glad you got sorted out. I expected you would.

                              Finally got mine today. It was just like Christmas - a belated Christmas, but Christmas none the less...



                              Better put my next order in tonight so I won't have to worry about running low next time.

                                I have posted this many times before. But even after 2 years, I rip open every shipment just like it is Christmas!!! I truly feel like I get Christmas all year when get new snus. I line up all the cans on my couch and just giggle. See, it never does get any better. :wink:
