My first and last order with Northerner was on Jan 29th. I am still waiting. Actually, that is a lie. I gave up weeks ago.

I havent waited that long, but it seems like the wait time is getting progressively longer. For the most part, my wait has been 4-5 days, which is superb. However, my last 2 orders were at two weeks... and im at ten days tomorrow with this order. one of the things i ordered was a new icetool. and hearing some of this shit makes me nervous. Ten days isnt excessive, but i feel that 2 weeks is starting to tiptoe on the line, especially when the shipping option says 3-7 days, or 4-7 days, or whatever. I feel that im being pretty reasonable about it, but, if this order i have now hits 2 weeks, im going to be pissed. I know its not their fault after it leaves their hands, so i guess the blame doesnt really belong with them. Dont know....

I'd like to know how this turned out.
Did your Icetool ever arrive? How long did it finally take?
If you didn't did you contact Northener about it?

I got my Icetool, and I got my other snus order, but again, they were just about at 2 weeks. I just placed an order with Northerner on Sunday evening, and as of right now, it is still "PENDING", and has not shipped. Tomorrow is Friday. That kind of chaps my ass. Now, about an hour after I placed an order with Northerner, I placed an order with Buysnus. About the same size order just to test processing/shipping times. When I was using buysnus, I never had the 2 week problem. The next morning I checked my email and it had shipped already.

I think I have spent around 400 bucks this year with Northerner... or around that amount. Im thinking its more. I used to use exclusively Buysnus, but I started having problems with missing cans and cut open envelopes, so I moved to Northerner. Plus, I can take more advantage of their bonus points system, as I do not order rolls usually.

I know for a fact that the last order I placed from Northerner on 3-22-09 will take 2 weeks to get to me (from the time i ordered it) if they ship it today...and if it takes 2 weeks to get to me, purely while it is en route to me (as have my last 4 or so orders), it will be at 3 weeks from the time of order to the time its in my mailbox. UNSATISFACTORY. It took them nearly the business week to ship it (If it ships today or tomorrow). I understand that they may be waiting for stock to come in, but a little message to let me know would be nice. I didnt order anything wacky.

My Buysnus order should be to me by Saturday, I would assume. So, that means that in the time it took Northerner to process my order and ship it, I already received my order from Buysnus.
Ergo, I will be moving my business back to Buysnus.

Ok, got the goods from Northerner. Good delivery time. I made an assumption from their website information. I received all but my 2 tins of Claq Qui, which is why im now assuming that my order was placed in "pending" status. They have been contacted about it. I guess my only complaint is the lack of communication.... but i have that problem everywhere. Anyway, NORTHERNER, I apologize, and will humbly eat some of this delicious, delicious crow.

I just find it humorous that in the midst of defending my dislike of Northerner in this very subforum, not an hour after I post my defense to two separate threads a glowing review of how wonderful Northerner is at doing the exact opposite of what they actually do pops up from a brand new member! Now it's my turn to call bullshit.

Sorry my friend, you seem to be the only person displeased with Northerner. Everyone else, even folks with issues, have been quite satisfied.

Hell, I even wrote my own love note to Northerner a few weeks ago.

I've never had issues with my Northerner orders. Well, not entirely true... I had ordered some snus and a knife last year. The knife was supposed to be an xmas gift for somebody. It said it was backordered when I placed the order in Sep., but I figured that left plenty of time. I waited a long time, then made a inquiry in Nov. Shortly after they refunded my money :^D Not a huge deal, but communication could have been better.

Actually, going back through the the threads I see a lot of complaints about lack of communication, slow shipping, customs usurpation and misplaced orders. But, in most cases it seems the order was replaced. Had that happened to me, I'd be joining in on the love fest going on here, but it didn't and I'm not.

I joined the forum in response to the good service I received from The Northerner, as I thought the least I could do was give them some positive publicity. I found a thread praising The Northerner and tacked on my 2 cents worth. You can be paranoid, cynical, optimistic, whatever, your choice.

Thanks RobsanX. I did my research before I started, mainly on this forum. I only order two cans at a time, as the small packages often slip through customs. I have only been hit for duty once in four deliveries. Compared to the tobacco prices in Australia, it doesn't work out too bad. Anyway, I am not a heavy user so I am not dropping a lot of money on the habit.

Well superdevil, I'm another new member here. I'm too new to snus to rave or rant about any particular online shop, can only share my experience so far. Once I'd picked out the varieties I wanted for my first order of 10 cans, I put together carts at a few different places. Getsnus, Snuscentral, and Northerner. Getsnus didn't have everything I wanted, their selection isn't great compared to others. They did have a free sample can offer going on though, so for $1 shipping I got that and it arrived to me in Oregon in just a few days. In the end I put my order in with Northerner, as for 10 cans it came up about $10 cheaper than Snuscentral. I ordered on a Thursday, was notified it shipped Friday morning, and received it the following Thursday. Not zoom zoom fast, but not two weeks thankfully, I would have gone crazy waiting.

I mostly kick around the snuscentral.org forums, but I've blogged a few times about snus recently and keep getting comments on the blogs telling me to come to snuson.com. The comments had the feel of someone searching around and adding prewritten comments to bring traffic here, but I figured there was no harm in checking it out. I haven't heard about negative experiences with Northern over at snuscentral, but am a bit concerned reading them here. I put in another order yesterday, and assumed I could depend on it being here in a week like the last one. Guess all there is to do is wait and see.
