    getsnus.com....opinions

Does anyone else use this site? I always hear northerner and buysnus, but never getsnus. For me, I absolutely love it. The prices, including shipping are just so cheap, and I get my orders in 2 days! It takes 2 weeks to ship from the Swedish companies. The problem is that they don't have a large selection, which sucks. I wish they had some more! The reason I'm writing this is because I got an order last week with an outdated offroad. I sent them a very polite email, and right away they apologized and sent me some free grovsnus. It was so nice! I'm officially a loyal customer.

I had a good experience with getsnus myself. Normally it takes a week for anything from buysnus or Northerner to arrive to me whether I'm in college down in Charleston or at home in Jersey. Only took 4 days from getsnus to arrive in Charleston.

The only thing I don't like is the limited selection they have. If you happen to be loyal to the brands they carry, then more power to you. It's probably worthwhile then for you to keep buying from them. I like a lot of other brands that they don't carry, though, so for now I'm sticking with Northerner. I think pricewise Northerner has a slight edge over the others, which isn't too big a deal on small orders. That adds up quick for me, though, since I'm in a military college and I can't get a job off campus to have a steady income. My spending cash is strictly what I made over the summer, so that little price difference makes a big impact over time. In a pinch, though, getsnus is where I'll turn if I find myself suddenly out with no order coming in soon.

There's a few posts about getsnus but you're right, they don't seem to be as popular as Northerner. I've used them a couple times when I needed something quick to hold me over. Service has been great. Main reason I stick with Northerner is price and selection. I also like snuff so I can grab that at the same time if I'm running low. Glad to hear they took good care of you. I'll continue to use their services when Northerner is out of stock on things or I need quicker shipping, but my main-stay will still be the Swedes.

I'm a fan of Getsnus as well. They're the only place I've ever ordered from, and everything has been great thus far.

I just put in another order today. My first order went great, so I've got high hopes for this one. I ran into something today that I didn't have a problem with last week, though, and I don't like it. It doesn't tell you about something being out of stock until you've made your order up and have already entered your credit card number. To remove the out of stock item from your order you have to cancel the entire order, go back and do it all over again. A very simple "remove from subtotal" would make things a hell of a lot easier, or even just placing a temporarily out of stock warning on the main page. It really sucks because every can that I tried to replace the Göteborgs White with was also out of stock, and I'm talking about four or five different brands. That's five separate times I had to start from scratch with my order, selecting all the different items and entering my personal info. That's unacceptable in today's websites. I also didn't even know they had Götesborg Rapé until Jill from customer service sent me a link- I still can't find it from the main page.

So the positives: FAST Shipping, great prices, great shipping rates, friendly customer service. This may not matter to some, but I like supporting an American distributor as much as I can as well.

The negatives: limited selection, poorly implemented web site, many brands out of stock.

I haven't ordered from the enough to form a long term opinion about them, but so far the good outweighs the bad.

If you only want to use what they carry, then fne. But I have checked and they don't carry 80% of what I use, so useless. Besides, I typically have between 40 and 50 on hand when I order. The lowest I have been in more than a year was 20 when I ordered, but that was unusual. So shipping speed is a rather useless indicator for me.

If they have something i want, i order it from them. If they don't, I go to buysnus or notherner and make sure to alternate every order.
I like to give getsnus my business because they're in the US.
I make sure not to make massive orders from getsnus, because of the expiration problem.

The first place I ordered form was Getsnus. Super fast delivery for me , as I only live one state away from.
But as others have said.. Limited selection, and a lot of times they are just out of stock on what they do carry.
Just a few weeks ago they were out of stock on over half of all their strong Snus. (don't know what it is now, haven't been back)

I switched to Northerner and haven't looked back.

I think they have a decent store, and free shipping for $50+ orders. the drawback for me is that their selection is limited.

Although I've only received three cans from getsnus so far, they were all fresher than the same brands that came in the mail two days later with buysnus.

Example (Euro d/m/y reformatted to US m/d/y):

                        General White/Buysnus= 5/28/09
                        General White/ Getsnus= 6/16/09

                        Göteborgs Rapé No2/Buysnus= 5/09/09
                        " " " /Getsnus= 7/07/09

So far, getsnus has been right on the money in terms of freshness. My other can of Catch is dated 07-19-09.

I am a regular with getsnus. They carry probably 75% of what I use, and I have had only good experiences with them. The expiration dates for me have been about the same as northerner and buysnus. It probably depends a lot on what you order. I think they are a good store, and since my orders with them are always over 50$, the free shipping is a big plus.
