    Ridiculous prices

Well,i made my order up today,i live in belgium,so i was kind of curious what the shipping cost+taxes would be,and for four boxes ,i came at the ridiculous amount of $ 24.89,i can buy this once, but i dont really feel like paying more for the shipping +taxes, then the price my boxes actually cost, does anyone else (in the EU) order snus? if so,tell me how you can actually live with this

That can't be right. Where did you try and order from?

Remember to pick Swedish Post and not UPS.

As far as I remember Buysnus is about $7 for four cans within the EU. I think Northerner is roughly the same price.

Shipping is usually about 20% of the total cost of any order I make. Taxes take up a HUGE chunk as well, but it is still cheaper than smoking.

I know it doesnt make sense at first but to bring that cost per can down, You should try adding more cans to your order. The initial shipping charge is pretty large but as you up the amount of cans it only increases slightly and there is a certain amount of wieght you can have before the next shipping rate. Unfortunately it just doesnt pay to have fewer cans on an order.

            It's much cheaper than smoking.

If you currently are a smoker, these 24 Euros possibly upgrade your life in many ways to say the least.

Besides of that, yeah, your order maybe forms the worst price-per-can-ratio ever. My first order wasn't much better though (taxes were lower back then). If you like snus, your second order will have a better ratio, no doubt.

Do I need to say that I hate the EU for allowing cigarettes and banning snus, not to mention the current (so-called conservative  ) Swedish government?

            Cheers!

I agree that it is crazy, but the bulk of the cost is taxes unfortunately, and that is something we can't get around. Our friends in the US have a sweet deal....

One of the main reasons I think it works out cheaper is the fact that you will probably use a lot less snus than cigarettes because of the way that the nicotine is delivered. So in the long run you will save money.

I think the average forum member here on SnusOn uses between 6-12 portions a day. Personally I use about 4-6 portions a day and three pris of lös in the evenings. On average a can of portions will nearly last me a week so I spend less than a pound per day a can.

              EUR4.38 = GBP3.94/7

A roll would would work out to EUR4.70 per can.

A pack of 20 cigarettes is something like five pounds at the moment over here (don't know what it is in Belgium) so I save at least a pound per can and a can lasts me much longer.

Do a small order first and see if you like it. Then once you've found a brand you like switch to rolls. Just be aware that Northerner usually bumps you up to UPS for more than 10 cans. I think the limit is 9 cans before it reverts to UPS.

Ultimately, the cost doesn't bother me. It is much safer than smoking and that it worth all the money in the world.

Well, actually in the end it comes all down to the same compared to ciggy's,for 4 packs its 18 euro too,the only thing that scared me off was the actual extra costs (shipping and tax ^^ )
