Northerner Order Status Vs. Delivery

Hi all... this is my first post here (or on any forum for that matter). I recently discovered Snus as I walking around my usual tobacco shop smoking a cigar in Dallas. I love it!!!

In any case, I placed an order on Northerner 5.2.09 and the status says "shipped". Will my status be updated to "delivered" within a few hours of being delivered (or on the same day) or is there a significant time lag?

Given my occupation and living situation I have to manage my schedule such that I am able to check my mail during office hours and as such it can be difficult if not time consuming to run home to an empty mailbox.

I also have some concerns about getting my delivery given the recent posts I have read about Northerner. Does anyone know approximate ship times to Dallas/Texas/or the southwestern US?

Welcome to Snuson pangloss.

Did you have it shipped via UPS, then UPS could tell you when it was delivered. I suspect, from the timing, that you did Swedish post. That is just regular mail here, so Northerner never knows when, or even if, it is delivered. So no, you won't see a change in status.

Please don't stress. Northerner has shipped thousands of orders to folks here on Snuson, it gets there 99.99% of the time. What you are reading is frustrated folks who panic when they don't get their orders in the time it usually takes. but as I keep posting over and over, ALL orders from Sweden seem to be taking longer now, going on for several months, I suspect US customs is slower, more careful, or such.

Regardless, your snus WILL get here. Typically, these days, between 6 - 11 days seems to be the new norm. (up until a few months ago, that was more like 4 - 6 days)

I live in Flower Mound and my average time from Northerner is about 8 days, though as sage notes it may be longer.

Got mine today! Seven Days to uptown dallas! I got some Catch mini Dry and some Skurf Cranberry. You're right Sage getting that package in the mail IS like Christmas and the mail man is Santa Claus!

My first order I placed at like 11:30 on a Thursday night, Friday morning in Sweden. It said it was shipped when I checked it Friday morning. It showed up the following Tuesday, I thought that was fast. I ordered some more from Northerner this previous Friday and it still has not even been shipped yet. Any ideas whatsup with this?

What time was it that you ordered? They are in a different time zone :P Order thursday and have it shipped soon, or order friday and have it shipped sunday night.

Oh JOY! I love getting that package in the mail, though if it's a week late and I see a mailman, well, he doesn't look as much like santa as he does a target for some well placed shots from a nail-gun...I've gotten pretty good at it actually 8)
