    MasterGuns,

Did Northerner lump together two separate orders? Or was it one order, containing both US and non-US available product?

From my experience with Northerner, if your order contains any items from the Swedish warehouse, the entire order will be shipped from this location. If the order consists entirely of items available in the American warehouse, it will ship from the U.S. For example:

I placed an order for a roll of General Dry Mini Mint (available at both warehouses), which shipped from the U.S. warehouse.

I placed an order for individual tins of General Dry Mini Mint (available at both warehouses) along with GR (only available from the Swedish warehouse), and the entire order shipped from Sweden.

Then what's the point in having a US warehouse? Why advertise certain brands as shipping from the US when in fact they don't? Why charge folks to ship from two different locations when in fact it all comes from one location?

I don't own a snus shop, nor do I envy anyone that has to deal with the frustration of running an intercontinental supply chain, but it just seems like the system is full of bugs. I think an overhaul is in order; you should be able to choose to have it all come out of Sweden and pay a flat shipping rate, or you should choose to pay extra to have the items that are here in the states actually come from the US. I would rather be the one to make that choice, instead of somebody pocketing the money and doing what's more convienient for THEM.

Keep in mind, I have a snus stockpile, so it's not like I'm going to run out if I have to wait a month to get something. If I'm ordering from Sweden, it's not for speed or price, because Getsnus offers me the best deal on both. If it's coming from Sweden it's because of selection. I just like being able to reasonably know what to expect from the people I order from, and with Northerner it has been quite erratic.

        Lucky,

No offence itended. I'm not defending the system, but merely relating my experiences with it. I'm assuming that the assumption is that customers would rather pay one shipping charge for the entire order rather than pay an elevated shipping fee to cover both items shipping from the U.S. and Sweden. However, I do agree that the buyer should be presented with the option of split shipments when purchasing. In the meantime, it appears that the only way to guarantee that your U.S. based items ship from the U.S. is to split them into a separate order.

This was a change that was made when folks bitched about having to pay for two separate orders. Seems Northerner just can't win.

Well, I'm confused now. I got charged separate shipping, once from Sweden, once from the US. But it all came out of Sweden. How is this fair to anyone but Northerner? I get double charged and STILL have to wait twenty days to get my stuff? Had I known that would be the case, I would have just had her order from Getsnus and Northerner at the same time. Same difference, but I thought the point in opening a US warehouse was to expedite shipping to the US for certain items. If I order five cans of General and two cans of Lucky Strike, I don't want some guy at Northerner deciding to ship all of my stuff from Sweden simply because it's easier on him. ESPECIALLY after I payed to have it shipped from Sweden AND the US.

The order I placed after that was all items that came from Sweden. One charge, one location. I consciously avoided ordering any items that would ship from the US warehouse so as to avoid a double charge.

If my case was isolated or Northerner has since fixed it, please let me know. All I can report on is what happened to me.

I ordered another one from them tuesday and it's looking like it will be delivered today as well. Two days isn't too shabby.

I'm finding it way to easy to get a stockpile of snus. My getsnus order wasn't there yesterday, so I really suspect it today. I really need to not get any more for a while, as I have about 70 cans now! It's like when I was heavily into nasal snuff. It's fairly cheap, and so much variety, it's just easy to keep getting more.

Yeah, my stash is getting up there as well. It's only in the mid 20's, so it's still not too bad, but I can see it getting out of hand if I keep up my pace. The bad part is that I'm still experimenting, so I have about ten or twelve open cans and I have only bought five or more of a couple different types.

My stash is mostly a variety with spare cans of Thunder Frosted, Onyx, Roda Lackett and now Skruff white.

I can't seem to stop ordering either. I wonder if those storage rental units have ones with freezers?? hmmmmm.

FYI...Northerner has avg'd 7 days on my last 2 orders...Same with snuscentral and buysnus. Get snus has been 2-4 days.
