    Canadian snusers - again

I need some info. Especially if you live in British Columbia.
Today I'm going to order a one way ticket to BC. I'm moving back there after living 2 years in Norway.
Of course, I'm aware that snus is unavailable there. Last summer I visited, and ordered 5 tins of snus. A hefty tobacco duty came ontop of that, I can't remember exactly how much but I ended up paying 15$ a can. Cigarettes in BC cost 10$ a pack for comparison. Luckily 15$ a can is not much more expensive than Norway.

Anyway, I know that sometimes it gets through customs. Now its impossible to say how many times I will get it through customs without the added fees, however I'm looking for some loose reference to base it on.

So whats YOUR track record for getting it duty free through customs? I just want some rough estimations such as 75% of the time maybe. You don't need to be specific.

        Well kevin32,

Back when i first started ordering snus, it was a rare event. But now it seems like 90% of the time for me. doesn't matter if its a big or small order i get raped for them.

          Canada

Can you get "du Maurier" snus in BC?

Imperial (BAT) launched it in Canada 2 years ago. It's made by F&L/BAT in Sweden.

            customs

When I started ordering about a year ago, I got nailed once in 6 months @ 1 order/week. Lately my last 3 orders of 4-5 cans have had over 70.00 of fees added, per order.

I'm heartbroken...as I'm faced with having to change careers @ this time also, and these added costs are pretty prohibitive. I refuse to pay again.

I've resorted to using lesser amounts of Skoal or Cope which I find to be lousy substitutes, especially as most shopkeepers never have the skoal classic. (the lesser of the collective evils)

There must be some die-hard snusers in the Vancouver area who'd join me in an "all out snus revolution" !!! We MUST UNITE against the opressors!!!
Darn-it-all I'm desperate for a portion of Ettan. There must be a way.

I wonder if there is a way for you to get a P.O. box in Washington... Or find a fellow snuser who would allow you to ship to his address in W.A.

I was hit with customs 3 times in a row when I ordered snus to my home address in AB. I then started to order to my company address, and I've so far had 5 shipments sent there, and none of them got hit.
I wonder if customs has some sort of shit list they put us on if they figure we order a lot of taxable goods. :x

That's smart. The governemnt may (?) treat commercial mail differently because they figure it will get taxed later on down the chain plus they don't want to be seen holding up commerce.

                          shit list/taxes

Yes,...I suspect I'm on a shitlist of sorts with customs. They probably noted my willingness to pay the first couple of "bribes" and have now flagged anything that comes in under my name. :?
Good suggestion regarding the US p.o. box though, I suppose I'll get my passport re-instated. What I wont do for a tasty pris...
