Has anyone in Canada been hit with a customs bill from the Northerner USA warehouse? Recently I've been hit with a 82$ customs charge on 4 tins from sweden. That comes out to about a dollar per portion! Not gunna pay that!


So what are the restrictions, ordering Swedish American snus to Canada. I really don't want to stop snusing, it's getting more and more difficult these days. In the past my orders from Northerners USA warehouse have been untaxed (general white)

I got 2 longs from the US warehouse it took just under a week and no customs charges. It was even opened by customs, had their yellow customes tape all over the box. So i lucked out once a gain or they are starting to not give a shit???? no clue.

As mentioned, 82$ for 4x24g is improperly taxed. Send it back. Hopefully they'll charge you properly next time (making it not much more expensive then cigarettes) or not at all.

Btw I'm not sure you can send it back if you've already paid for it. But I'm certain you can claim its improperly taxed. It may take awhile, but if you persist I'm certain they'll tax it properly next time. Check my thread a bit further down for details on Canadian tax, I also listed tax for BC, Alberta and Ontario.
