I think it's a little bit of both.

I remember Frank saying that they change their prices with the dollar, so it fluctuates.

I don't think they're now recouping their lost revenue of the extensive bonus program.

I think buysnus just has a much higher profit margin because they aren't even competitive on the vast majority of products.

I think they're just having serious web site issues. I just feel bad because from my experience, they've been the most helpful and responsive of any web dealer I've used. They don't deserve to have such inane technical issues.

Look, I always assumed there would be much movement on goodies and prices. Northern was SO much lower than Buysnus for a while, figured it wouldn't last forever.

Best advice is still the same. Check ALL vendors each time you order. Put a dummy order through on each. Sometimes, someone may have sale going on exactly what you were planning on buying the most of.

You just never really know so makes sense to at least look each time (if money issues matter to you)

I agree with you on the inane technical difficulties Harry. A major distributor like northerner really shouldn't be having tech diffs as regularly as they are and for as long as they're having them. This is something that is actually in their control.

The prices are however out of their control due to economic climates.

Another slight niggle I have with Northerner is the length of time it takes for them to get hold of Icetool products. You'd think they'd have some in stock. I've just ordered a 3ml steel icetool (yes I'm going to pop my cherry) and it's not even in stock. The last time I ordered an icetool portion box it took 3 months - which is a fecking dreadful service by any benchmark.

To back Northerner up though - all snus I've ordered has been delivered extremely speedily - which is the main thing.

I'm well aware of price fluctuations. The prices have gone up only on some items. Some prices haven't changed. It probably has more to do with the increased overhead from opening the USA warehouse more than anything else, and he's sqeezing out extra revenue where it will affect him the least.

I like using my bonus points for snus I use and now none of the bonus snus at Northerner interests me (even if it was still 60 points a can).

Man, I just saw the thing on the icetool too late. I ordered an icetool and snus box from Northerner!

My order is still pending. Anyone have good experience getting them to cancel an order?

I don't know what the rules are in Sweden but there's usually a two week cooling off period. Definately a week in which you can cancel anything that you've ordered.

I'm going to sit tight on my order and see how long it takes them to sort themselves out on this one as I'm really happy with portion. I'll report on the time it took.

I've got a portion box and after a few days your snus starts tasting of stainless steel. I personally wouldn't buy one again and I personally think they're a waste of money. Mine is stored at the back of a cupboard only a week after getting it.

After placing my last 8 orders with northerner (before which, snuscentral), I'll be placing my most recent with getsnus, with the bonus points issue being the primary reason. The prices on northerner are still competitive and in some cases better, but free shipping + mystery can> arbitrary points that can't be used for anything that interests me. That said, the northerner typically has better prices for single cans so I'll likely continue to place infrequent small orders with them. plus their selection still reigns supreme.

Reasonable. I recently used Getsnus for two orders, at least for what they carry. As long as you go elsewhere so not to limit your snus choices. Getsnus simply doesn;t carry most of my favorites, and I get so frustrated at folks who won't even explore a bit outside of Getsnus limited terrain. They are just missing out on aa bunch of great snus.

I have heard good things about Swedish-snus too in terms of pricing.
I am assuming that Norgherner os just in the process of completely remaking their bonus point selections (as their stock shifts, that makes sense). So I am assuming that soon, many more choices will show again. If not, it wll absolutely free me up to shop multiple other vendors.

But again, I expect ths thread may look kinda stupid in a week

So where's the best place to order an Icetool with fast shipping? I'm not worried about saving a couple bucks on the cost of the tool.

swedish-snus is the same vendor as northerner, in fact the site layout is nearly identical, though a bit rougher on the eyes.

And I would agree that more choices will inevitably show up in the near future, the problem I have is the point increase. 150 points for northerner energy (awful) and thunder. For those unfamiliar, purchasing a single can typically earns 10 points. Previously brands like general, ettan, borg's rape, went for 60 points. So buy 6, get one free opposed to buy 15 cans, get a can of thunder at best. I really hope this is a glitch in their software.

Could someone help me out with Northerner's payment system? I want to place an order from them in a little while, but it never gives me an opportunity to enter my card info, and then tells me I left it out. I pick my snus, confirm the delivery address/warehouse, choose my shipping, it loads a page that mentions payex and automatically skips to the confirmation page. After that, it gives me an error about me not having put in my payment info.

Northerner's prices went up another 10% on those same items in one day...

3 weeks ago I bought some LD lössnus for $1.98 a can/the price now is $2.35 a can
                          Now today $2.60 ($2.69 08/12)

                          LD portions was $2.09/now $2.47
                          Now today $2.73 ($2.81 08/12)

Retro portions a roll was $21.20/ now $23.70
                          Now today $26.20 ($27.10 08/12)

Better double check prices before ordering, Buysnus is looking better on some items.
I even double checked the exchange rate to see if something was causing the jump in prices.

Just went to Northerner to check one of my favorites, the Northerner energy snus (yea, I know no one else likes it, but I can't help myself)
I already had some in my checkout basket form an order I didn't place a few weeks ago.... Looks like I sure should have placed that order then..
It went from 3.50 to 4.06 a can.

Just made a pretty good sized order from Northerner this morning, as well as from Nicotinerush. If GetSnus carried Lucky Strike regular portions, I could pretty much guarantee I would go through them almost exclusively. I just have never had a bad experience with them, and the ship times are tracked which is a pretty nice benefit. I also like the free shipping on orders over 50$ and the free can is just an added bonus to boot.

As for Nicotinerush, I love them. Fastest ship times, all costing the same flat rate. The service has been top notch.
