Snus isn't "banned" It is only illegal to sell it anywhere in the EU except Sweden and Norway. But snus can be imported with zero restrictions into the UK, as it can anywhere in the EU.

We have many, many folks here from the UK that get it all the time.

Cheers for the replies, still awaiting my Snus to arrive (ordered it from the Northerner last Monday) and I found out GetSnus does not deliver outside the US which is a shame (free snus is good snus!) so I'll stick with Northerner.

Also, being a pennyless student bum that I am, is it best to save up and order in bulk or sporadically order 5-10 cans every now and then?

I think a better way to look at it is build up a reserve supply as fast as you can. Meaning, don't be ordering when you are down to a few cans just in case the order takes longer than anticipated.

Personally, and being in the states, I never order when I have any less than 20 cans on hand. That is a 40 day supply for me, so shipping time just can never hurt me.

You have the reserve on hand, I don't think it matters one way or another if you are making larger or smaller orders from there.

I'm not sure quantity matters barring any peculiar customs rules in the UK. Buysnus gives you half off your sixth roll purchase, but that's only for rolls, not singles. Northerner gives bonus points which can be used for select snus and merchandise. Your best bet would be to run the numbers and see how it all works out. Include shipping in your calculations also. Try different amounts also. Buysnus makes it easy, as they tell you cost per tin(shipping included) on the order form.

After getting my first two orders from GetSnus and finding out I liked snus, all my subsequent orders have been focused on trying everything available from overseas so I would have a chance to stock up before any PACT type legislation has any chance to go into effect.

Just give everything a go, and wait until you know what you like to order in bulk. Rolls are discounted a bit over individual cans, but as many people here can say, your tastes change over time. It's no good to be broke and sitting on 9 cans of snus that you no longer like. Sample boxes are a decent way to try a bunch of different snus. They also get you the roll points at BuySnus.
