    Nothing but web-shops...

I see a lot of discussions about websites pandering snus, but never any actual stores, so I figured I´d throw one in for the mix.

Yes, yes, I know, but perhaps hell is freezing over and someone reading this might go there after all

    Store: HSN Livs
Location: Agnesfridsvägen 177, Malmö, Skåne province, Sweden.

This is my usual go to place for my cheap ass rolls of Level or formerly Phantom, but I have been trying to mix it up as long as the dent in my wallet is manageable.

If swedes snus it, they have it, well they don´t quite carry everything, but it´s as well-stocked you will find around here.

A few years ago you could buy Kronan for 8 kr (about 1 dollar at the time)
Ofcourse increased taxes ( and manufacturer greed ) made this nothing but a sweet memory.

This place is primarily a place that sells rolls and cartons, not the place to go just for a single tin, although you can buy that aswell ofcourse, it´s all cheaper in quantities so naturally being a narrowminded swede I usually get my rolls of cheap stuff and be on my merry way.

But for the finetasters of this forum, it would be a pretty sweet deal to stand by the fridges and pick n mix for yourselves.

Montecristo, Romeo n Juliet, Luckies and other illegal contraband :?

So what is good about this place then, for me its just the price as I´m not too fussed about them carrying 56 brands of this n that, but since they do that aswell I guess it´s a big plus.

Not open on sundays, thats a minus in my book but nothing major

Well I guess thats it for my first review, thank you for reading.

EDIT: here´s a pic from the inside I posted in another thread when i first joined for anyone who hasn´t seen it. http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs541&d=09285&f=dsc00215904.jpg

chossy, I am planning the beginning of a trip I hope to take next year. Fly into Copenhagen, take the train over to Malmö to buy snus, then either the overnight train from Malmö to Berlin and then Berlin to Amsterdam, or just train straight from Copenhagen to Amsterdam. Rumor has it that is about 20 hours.

If I can pull this together, I will need someone like you to direct me to the closest place to buy snus. Literally, I hope to spend a grand total of less than an hour in Sweden.

Will make for a kinda funny story. Yeah, I went to Sweden. For 30 minutes. To buy some snus. Then I left.

          Sounds interesting sage

It would be a shame you can´t spend more time so we can grab a beer in town atleast, theres some nice bars just a few minutes walk from the trainstation in Malmö, but if your that pressed for time I´ll do my best to steer you in the right direction.

I think most of us would be thrilled with the "limited" selction from ICA.

It will all come down to train schedules. But honestly, I expect I should have at least a few hours. And chance to meet up with someone from Snuson? In Sweeden?? On a "shopping" trip just for snus????

I think I would find a way to make that happen. But at least a year away. I am looking at the end of next October as a target date.

And there isn't a damn thing wrong with that.

Unless you run into some hot Swedish chicks. Might have to adjust that schedule a bit.

I don't know sage, it looks like going to Malmö by train is more involved than just a quick train ride. It looks like your trip may involve a ride on the ferry.

                  http://www.lonelyplanet.com/sweden/t...ing-there-away

                  Train
Hamburg is the central European gateway for Scandinavia, with direct trains daily to Copenhagen and a few on to Stockholm.

There are direct overnight trains running every day between Berlin and Malmö via the Trelleborg-Sassnitz ferry. The journey takes nine hours and a couchette/bed costs €88/125 (approximately Skr820/1170). See www.berlin-night-express.com for details.
unless you fly to Copenhagen 1st

Trains run regularly every 20 minutes between the cities of Copenhagen and Malmö (Skr87, 35 minutes), travelling via the Öresund bridge. The trains usually stop at Copenhagen Airport.

If heaven existed, the picture you posted would look exactly like that! As well, there would be fine beers in the fridge too.

                    You're sooooo lucky!

I stopped into my local super awesome snus shop yesterday, called Thorntons. They sell gas, minor grocery and snack junk, some dip, and the exclusive sole offering of the Camel SNUS, Frost and Mellow. I had a coupon for a free tin, which I wanted for a trade, so I got a can of Frost, and left my super awesome snus shop.

justintempler, yeah, Flying into Copenhagen is at the top of my list. Then getting snus is just a 20 minute ride away, SUPER easy, go straight from the airport. Then have choices as to how I get to Amsterdam, the Berlin Night express, which would let me have half a day maybe in Berlin, kinda cool. Or there is a train straight back from Copenhagen to Amsterdam. Either would work.

I just have always wanted to take a train across Europe. I did the high speed once between Paris and Lyon, went to Lyon just for lunch, was back in Paris for Dinner. But I want to gt across countries.

                            This can be arranged.
In fact, it is unavoidable, unless you really plan ahead, but that´s no fun at all

Just let me know in time whoever is coming, and I´ll set up an "reasonably priced adventure package" for free ofcourse

Including snusshopping, sightseeing, all depending on what kind of sights you want to see, I recommend summertime. see you soon.

I wonder if anyone ever went to this store?

And Sagedil should get ready for his trip now, it´s been a year already.
