Just wondering if this was normal, ordered the general origonal sampler last night from getsnus and I made sure it said instock before buying it, and went back to check on it today, and it says backordered.. Is this normal while they pick and pack it for shipping, or is the site messed up and saying stuff is in stock when it's not.. ? I'm cornfuzed

I've only gotten the "backordered" status once but that was because I knew one of the cans in my order was not in stock (actually still on backorder). They went ahead and shipped the rest of my order and assured me that the backordered can would be shipped as soon as it came in stock with no additional shipping charges.
I'd suggest dropping them a line: http://www.getsnus.com/contact/customer_service.asp
Great customer service from my own personal experience.

There are certain areas, especially opinions about snus, or politics, where anyone and everyone is free to question me all day long.
But information I post, answers to certain questions. You are correct. I simply won't post unless I know my information is correct. And I have enough posts, would you agree with me that I have established enough of a track record at being correct, that ever questioning a "factual" post I make is almost unfair. Yeah, a piece of me kinda feels that I should have earned the presumption that I am correct now. Put in enough work for that.
Shorter way of putting it. You can question my opinions all you want. But don't ever question my facts. I have earned that.

I just had a backorder experience with getsnus too. They had 'almost expired' Skruf Stark White for $1.99 per can. Can't pass up that deal, so I ordered 5 bargain cans. They could fulfill only 2 at the time.
They charged me only for what shipped, and sent a mystery can (General Wintergreen, boo, hiss) with the initial package. They informed me that I would receive the backorder cans with no additional shipping charge.
Since the next package will be fresh Skruf at almost expired price, I almost felt I was taking advantage. I would have happily settled for any reasonable substitute, had they offered.
Just saw a message that my next package was sent, so 1 week exactly to restock. By the way, the almost expired Skruf tastes just fine.
Getsnus sets a high standard for customer service.
I do have 2 wishes from them --
Increase variety. Then they'd be the only store I need!
Add some mystery to the mystery can. Seems I'm always getting General Wintergreen or Mini Mint.
