Dang. Something told me to look at this thread again. Thanks for trying though.

Opened General portion first and wasn't too impressed. Not much flavor but will go with Sage's advice and try it again later. Didn't feel any nic hit at all.

Next can was Thunder Frosted ES. All I can say is Wow oh Wow. This was as advertised by all of you. Definitely a keeper.

Question to you vets, how long should I give each one in? I kept the General in for about 30 minutes.

I am thinking I might mix some discreets with the ones that don't have any flavor other than tobacco. That is the reason I wasn't a big fan of Copehagen.

If the first two are any indication, I am leaning towards Starks. Will give more updates as I open them.

I leave mine in for 1 hour minimum. 75 minutes is average, and sometimes as long as 3-4 hours.

Leave it in as long as you want to. Some days, it may be 30 minutes, other days an hour, and even other days, it could even be two hours. No rhyme or reason, I just toss it when i feel like it.

So is this your first Swedish snus???

If so, please understand this. Ignore what you think you are tasting the first week to ten days. Just takes that long for the body to get acclimated to the salt. the snus will taste a bunch different in a couple of weeks. First week, just keep using, even if it tastes a bit strange to you.

Yes, it is my first Swedish snus. I have a LD White portion now. I like it a lot better than the General portion I tried. It is hard not to open a bunch of different cans but will try to resist going on your advice to take it slow.

It's all part of the fun; just don't make any firm decisions for awhile. It takes time to get used to the Swedish style, and it's hard to say what you'll ultimately find appealing after using for awhile.

My only problem so far is getting used to the portion in the top of my mouth. I will keep at it today but it is way more noticeable.

I am also fighting the urge to put two in at a time. It's funny too that I kind of miss the spitting part. I guess it's kind of like a smoker missing the holding of the cigarette. Not to mention I have two mudjugs that Skoal sent me.

Is there something wrong with me? I loved the Elyxr. That's some good stuff. Judging by what you guys had said it had a strong smell and really different flavor, I was not prepared for it to be as mellow as it was. It wasn't as strong as I expected. Will get some more of that.

Ok, on to my next can. It's official, I am a Goat Raper. Judging by how some of the people look that I see at Walmart, I bet that's not the first time those words have been said in my home town. At least mine is pertaining to tobacco. I like the Goat Rape 2 white portion a lot.

I just recently tried GR2 and it is wonderful. I wasn't a fan of the GR1 though. Totally different tastes. I usually leave mine in for at least an hour, usually and hour and a half. Give General another go too leaving it in longer this time. If it still isn't doing anything, put it in the freezer and come back to it. I just hope we don't have another bergamot hater (I'm looking at you Chad!!) here!

I used to think I liked GR2 alot, but now, it doesn't seem as good.
I usually keep a portion in for an hour and a half, sometimes more if it's still going, and less if it's just dead.
