I do appreciate everyone's feedback. I just wanted to let everyone know the reasoning behind my initial offering of only a select few brands and flavors. I am not sure how much knowledge anyone has about the licensing or permit requirements it takes to actually import anything into the US, let alone Tobacco, which as we all know is highly regulated by the TTB.GOV. The govt is looking for any reason to deny me the license. The application process takes about 4 months to even get your documents looked at and then you have to interview with them, THEN they decide whether or not they are going to approve you to import Tobacco. So with that being said I wanted to get my site off the ground begin to offer what I can for now. Earn some loyalty with those people who choose to purchase what I have now and grow to include all the brands and flavors everyone wants, which is the Swedish snus.

The good news is I am in the final stages of the process and should have the approval within the next week or two, barring any unforeseen blocks in this process. I can promise you this. As soon as I get the license I will have my bulk orders in to the manufacture and it will be available on my site. Thank you for your understanding and please come by the site and place and order. I am positive you will be impressed not only by the fast delivery but the quality of products and service provided.

Alright, I just got through looking at the site. I will reserve all criticisms until the selection is expanded, though I agree that the site should not have launched so prematurely.

That said, I would like to offer a couple suggestions, that would be worthy of my business:
In your initial post, you mentioned you'd provide the lowest prices. In order to have the lowest prices, you would either need to sell in reduced roll quantities or your individual can price must be lower than your competitors roll price/10.
So comparing with getsnus, general cans must either be priced at <28$/ roll or 2.80/can.
You should also offer concrete intensives for orders consisting of high quantities, rather than saying you'll throw in some freebies.

good luck on this endeavor and I hope you earn my business.

        ClubSnus -

How are you storing the "Bulk Orders" you are receiving? Do you have a facility off the ground yet or plans for one as soon as these come in?

              Stock selection

I am currently working on those product orders at this time. I can't give any guarantee as to whether or not I will be carrying those brands. However, I am doing my best to get those brands so that I can offer you what you are not able to get from getsnus and earn your business. I am fighting for us all believe me. I know we are all very interested in seeing those brands and also having them available as soon as possible. Thanks for your question and I will let you all know as soon as I know more.

I am wondering if there is a bit of chicken/egg thing at work here. Meaning maybe it is a lot harder to get licenses if you aren't already a going concer. Kinda forces them to get s shell working first. Regardless. A+ for the communnication so far.

Well, having been involved in opening several retail stores, a "soft opening" is always a good idea. One needs to work out the kinks, get input and smooth out operational issues before going balls out. A bit different for web store for sure but same basic concept. We would open the locations with no advertising for a period of time for example.

I commend them for coming here for input and dealing with said kinks head on. He had emailed and mentioned this shop to me a few weeks back and I've been anxiously awaiting them opening.

I'm guessing we have only a slight inkling of what he has gone through just to get to this point. Seems a crew like we have here is a great place for support, constructive input and perhaps most importantly patience. In the end, he's got a ton o sweat and tears geeting it going and we may benifit hugely.

Off my soap box lol and wishing him luck and success. I'll get a order in this week.

I was going to say this also. If this is his first web venture, there's a lot of unknowns that have to be dealt with. Everything from site design, to payment processing. Starting off very small makes sense to me, and while he may not get swamped with orders at this point, he can work on the polish, without the stress of having too many people demanding time from him.

OK, so I mentioned that I made a small order. As soon as I did order, I got an e-mail from processing company sating order put through. First thing this morning, got an e-mail via USPS "Click-n-ship" stating that order had been sent, plus tracking number. I have to say, best notification process yet. Getsnus is good about sending e-mails too, Buysnus mostly, Northerner...well.

But I do have a preference. I much prefer the e-mail the way clubsnus does it, from the shipping company. This way I *know* it has been shipped.

So very pleased so far, curious at how long it takes getting across country vs Getsnus just having to come to me from PA

Probably 7-8 days. When i order from getsnus it gets here to california usually 7-8 days so I would imagine it would be similar.

Another thing the owner mentioned to me, (and I think he may be sending out in emails to customers), is to help him out by shooting him an email when you recieve your snus, and let him know how long it took to arrive from the day you ordered it.

That way he can get better at letting you know when to expect it.

Since it's still a startup, the service is very personalized, which I extremely like and why I always shop at smaller mom and pop places than big chain stores.

                              /my 2 cents

Received a package from ClubSnus today. Very impressed. Arrived in 3 days. Good packaging, I liked the invoice that came with it, very professional looking, felt like something I'd receive at work. Maybe I'm easily impressed. Great job Jonathon - you're off to a good start.
