New guy - NYC shops?

Hi all, first, sorry if this is being posted in the wrong place/been covered to death (but I'm not finding it). Anyone know shops in NYC that carry snus? Particularly down by union square/village?

I'd been thinking about trying snus since I first heard about it a year ago. Mostly for getting off the smokes, but, as of last Thursday, my home state of Connecticut has now raised cig prices another dollar, so they're now running $7.25 a pack (nyc, where I work, is always over $9). F all that. Gonna give snus a try!

It would be WAY cheaper to just order online. Getsnus is fast, or Northerner or Buysnus. Just be prepared to wait a bit ordering from Sweden. But Getsnus is located in PA

Cigarettes in New York City are at around $9.50 a pack, sometimes over $10.00

The price is one of the main reasons I got started with snus. I'm in NY too.

The only one I personally know of is De La Concha, way up Avenue of the Americas. They usually have three or four cans of each type of General, save sterks, so potentially it could be fresh. But you're living in NYC mate, tobacco taxes are probably going to bring a tin of General up to about $6, possibly more. I love that city, but I'd never buy anything but cigars or snuff there tobacco wise.

Thanks everyone. Found them at Cigarillo (sp) on Spring st. by Thompson. They carry General. Talked to the girl there and she gave me a sample pack with original, white and wintergreen to try. Went ahead and bought a can of original as well since it is a bit of a hike to get there. Payed $6 on the nose (not bad for NYC, but not good to what I'm hearing from you guys I can get online). Plan is to see how I like them and then make the online, bulk plunge.

I know there are likely a TON of options and opinions, and I'll do some more research on here, but seems like General is not a bad brand to start with?

General is the monster in the family. has about 70% of the market share for snus in Sweden. Not the best IMHO, but as good as anywhere to start. But you need to order online to get anything else.

Check General's website, they have a find retailers area. If they have a store that carriesthem in Arkansas, I'm sure one in NYC does.
